I lived in the caribbean as a child, but never have been back. It was of course, a paradise for me back then. Often wondered what it would be like to return as an adult. Would it darken those memories? Thank you, Alison for sharing your recent travels. It is inspiring and lends positivity to the notion of me going back someday.

You’re touch to let your tears flow. You should listen to her song The River. You can drink in your eyes and become a river when you cry. Much love brother

There’s never a time this song doesn’t pull at my soul strings. Plucking each one until my soul spills from my eyes. I really needed a cry and I absolutely sob every time I see someone react to this performance, not because I like to see them cry, but because I want someone so badly to relate to how she pulls this raw emotion from you and it presents to you such a healing cry you didn’t even you knew you needed! Your reaction is completely normal! It means you’re not just human, but you’re a pure and good human. We have too many that are just human.

True heart and soul = Aurora.... 100% - This is a "easy" song to understand, there is more of hers that are more hidden / dificult. But Aurora sometimes tell us what SHE ment with the song, but she also loves US to find our own "hidden tresures" / meaning of her songs. I have lived a while.... I am fan of Elvis (I was 7 when he died), Queen, Springsteen, Chis De Burgh, and many others, but nobody I ever have seen get's so deep into my hear and soul as Aurora does. I actually met her on the street when I was in her home town Bergen. I have NEVER had problem speaking to ANYBODY, but when I met her I froze, I did not get a word out.... That is not logical, she is one of the nicest people in the univers, and nothing to be afraid talking to. Honestly: I thing it was my "defence system" that shut me down, if you start talking now you will start crying... NOBODY does that to me... Other than Aurora. I have no idea why I react like that... I was standing 3 meters from her mother, father and one of her sisters at a concert, I so wanted to go up to them and shake their hands and thank them for supporting Aurora, to give us this fantastic gift that is her art. Espessially her mother that urged her to not hide her art from the world. I honestly belive her art is a gift to human kind. Big words, I know..... I did not do it, I was "too afraid", that is also very stupid, they seem to be very nice people....

this concert is really lovely, the church and the orchestra suits her well. but have you ever heard the name eivor? she is from the faroe islands, a classically trained sopran and owner of a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques and her vocal skills and her versatility are absolut mind blowing. finding her was an almost religious experience for me. her song "falling free" live at the old theater in tórshavn is the best live performance of all artists that i know. she also did music for the tv series the last kingdom and the computer game god of war. she has also an excellent band behind her back and is now making music professionally for more than 25 years being just 41 years old. being emotional is the essence of a reaction video. if you want to cry you could also chose either susanne sunfor, when the lord, or steven wilsons music video for routine. when the lord is a feature song for a documentary called self portrait about the leading norwegian fotographer lene marie fossen, who suffered from anorexia since the early age of ten and died short before the movie premiered. the combination of susannes intese vocals and songwriting skills and the heartcrushing portraits by lene are an intense visual journey. steven wilsons music video for routine is a very sad story about the worst possible loss, the music video filmed in stop motion unfolds such an emotional power. make sure to have some hankies in reach for both tracks

I've been worried about crying at her concerts (Norwegian, so I do see her live occasionally), and had managed avoid it, until the last concert I went to in march. Some tears during this exact song. Totally different version from this, but beautiful as always. Knowing who she is as a person, and that it's not about making hits for her, makes her music special. She writes when something affects or bothers her. Safe travels! 😊

This song never fails to make me cry. She seems to really FEEL her songs, and you can see it in her gestures, how she moves, her facial expressions and how she twists and turns her vocals. But she’s even more interesting. Some of her songs I’ve seen sung with completely different vibes, and they still work oh, so well. It’s like she picks up on how different people will interpret her words.

Never feel bad for emotions first off that is what aurora wants to make us feel lol. As a 46 year old man i am brought to tears wishing i could go back and change life or just even feel life through the eyes/skin of of my childhood again. . That was bliss but i never knew it until now.

no worries - it was a long time before I could listen to that song without simply sobbing my eyes out...even driving down the road listening to the CD and trying to sing along without choking. Few reactors, male or female, manage to make it through that song without breaking down. All of her songs hit universal places in our minds, hearts and souls, as does her beautiful energy. Aurora is a special human, for sure. And the fact that she can share her wonderful attunement through beautiful music is even more special, imo. Even her songs that address the darkest corners of our humanness carry hope in them, as well.

This song makes me cry and long for the innocence, wonder, and naivety I had as a child. You believe that the world is good and just but reality smacks you in the face as you grow older and you learn otherwise. We are a flawed species, some individuals more than others. Life has been and never will be fair. Sometimes the bad people win. Sometimes the good guys always lose. Sometimes life is random chaos.

Superb performance and magical setting..the accoustics of old Cathedral make it both haunting and live.. it reminds me a little of Forence and the machines performance at the Royal Abert Hall early on in her career. 🧙🏻♂️🇬🇧 As for this lady maybe you should here her sing with her viking friends.

AURORA always does something to me that in German is called "Kopfkino". You can roughly translate it as "head cinema". There are images and emotions that seem to come out of nowhere. Not many musicians do that to me. Greetings from the Black Forest.

See THIS is what I envy about other non English languages! They have words for feelings or moments that we don’t have in English. That there is a fantastic piece of information (you have no idea how much I love learning new things like this) - that’s such a perfect way to describe sensations I get with music!

The non-verbal singing part with the choir, reminds me of how a child sings. When my daughter was little, playing with her toys, happy and content in the moment, she would sing without words. Very innocent and pure. Aurora brings that alive and ties it in with her lyrics.

Nicely done in terms of you're in the smaller picture and the singer is the larger. This song however is one of those that is ruined by commentary, especially long tangents... even for a reaction video. No offense, just IMO.
