She is definetly one a kind. Her hole performance is so pure, natural and beautiful and that is very rare these days. Welcome to AURORA's warrior and wierdos world.

Thank you for a special and beautiful Aurora reaction. Aurora wrote Through The Eyes Of a Child when she was a child herself and she realized that everything will not necessarily be alright and how much pain and suffering there is in the world, this made her go into a bubble of darkness and sadness and to fight her way out of it she wrote the song. This is her method, to write herself out of feelings she gets stuck in or see others stuck in. Aurora says that her song Runaway is the best gateway into her world, it is as if Runaway is the eye of the storm and she spins in every direction from there. She wrote the song in 1 hour when she was 11 years old. I suggest you react to her performance of Runaway at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert; she looks young but was actually 19 years old when she did this performance. Even with Aurora's oh so beautiful voice, her melodic compositions and her outstanding vocal technique and control, what makes her really magical are her lyrics. She is a midwife of emotion, choosing to use her platform to give her audience catharsis and a safe please to feel. Aurora’s song can be dark, but she feels it is important to always have a glimmer of light too, and even the heaviest of her songs has a tendency to lift your spirit. She loves it when her audience are crying at the beginning of the song, but are dancing by the end of it. She does not shy away from heavy topics and her lyrics are grounded in the human experience and how to navigate what we feel. That is when she does not write about death witch, she does quite often, as I said, she can go really dark. Aurora does not limit herself to any genre, she can do anything form folk and tribal to heavy metal inspired, and she often combine several genres into one song. She goes where the lyrics lead her and it is absolutely wonderful. I want to suggest two other songs from her first album. Aurora lost many of her loved ones at a young age, one close friend she lost to the Utøya massacre, the only mass shooting Norway has ever witnessed, where 69 teens were killed. This happened a month after she turned 15 years old and she wrote Little Boy In The Grass to work through it and to pay homage to all the victims. She has also lost several loved ones to substance abuse, to work through this she wrote several songs, and I believe one of them is Under The Water, but the lyrics might mean something different to you then they do to me. That is the high art of Aurora's lyrics, they are so strong and powerful, but at the same time often very versatile and metaphorically so that they can go straight to the heart of people for different reasons. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJSaiYqNlKqbmJo AURORA - RUNAWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5-cpaaFa9WBh7M AURORA - LITTLE BOY IN THE GRASS | LEGENDADO (Live in Nidarosdomen) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIiliJSXds14Z68 iamAURORA - Under The Water (Live) - #VevoHalloween 2016 Sorry for the long comment.

So far she has released an EP called Running with the wolves and 3 LP : All my demons greeting me as a friend , Infections of a different kind and A different kind of human and now working on her 4th album. . So far she has written 1100 songs.Her wocal range is insane C5 easily . Thank you for the reaction and continue to do Aurora reactions .

I do like the image of the eight year old Aurora with a pitchfork at the composting bin, turning the soil and digging in that classic variation for piano. "It's no good!"

Sadness and hope - the special quality of so many of her songs. And it's extra special for all of us who have discovered and been deeply touched by Aurora to witness someone else hearing her for the first time and be touched to the core as we are.

i didnt understand the alst lyric at first, but think I do now. "please dont leave me here" is her speaking to everyone around her, growing up, forgetting their childlike soul, feelings and views. She is afraid, at least in that moment, that she will be the only one left.

She is like an ancient fairy, with the heart of a child. She is Extremely facinating. Her music is enchanting and mysterious and her song lyrics are so profound, very poetic, they really mean something. I am happy you had a positive first encounter to her. It is hard to recomend something, she has so much to choose from. But murder song(5,4,3,2,1) is so facinating and diffrent, so I will recomend that one. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIXalXqIfdFog9k And helvegen. She is only a guest Singer on that one, with wardruna, a band, but it is an amazing amazing performance, the production is incredible. Helvegen is ancient norse, and it means the road to Hel, the Kingdom of the afterlife, the dead, om norse mythology. It is stunning, and her voice is so fitting. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ_Ohah-hZ6kadE

I want to be buried with 'HelVegen', the poetry cracks me up every time I hear it. No. Make that: I want to hear someone sing 'HelVegen' the moment I die.

When we reach adulthood, we feel we lost the child within. Do you know that he or she is in your heart still? Just hidind from the potential cruelty or unforgiveness outside. Let the child out, hand in hand and show the fair light of love and care surrounnding like an aura protecting both of you. Thank, Mace, for your good musical taste!

Her performance of Lucky live in Nidarosdomen is my favorite version of the song. It really helped me a year ago when I had a terribly dark week, I listen to this on repeat for three days and little by little I saw the light again.

@@mammastenhjerte My favorite version as well. I've only known about Aurora for about a month. I'm totally addicted! I've watched all of her live performances and most of her reaction videos and interviews. She is just.......different. Mystical. Enchanting. Hypnotizing. And this is coming from a guy who has been a metal head all his life! My favorite musical genre is death metal, yet I've watched her Nidarosdomen concert at least 30 times! Lol! And I'm glad Aurora brought you back from the edge! I can understand why she would have that effect on people. 🥰

@@mammastenhjerte I wonder tho, what Aurora herself may have been going through to write "Lucky" at the age of 9? Incredible, but really dark.
@mammastenhjerte
@mammastenhjerte 4 жыл бұрын
@@Mick.Fitzmaurice I have also wondered at that. She has said she battled with depression as a youth, so it might be that, but that could also be the dark bubble she was in and wrote herself out of with Through The Eyes Of a Child. In an interview (I cans remember which one) after she released Infection Of A Different Kind Step 1, but before releasing A Different Kind Of Human Step 2, that her only biographical songs were Lucky and Runaway. And that is good to know considering all the dark topics she covers in ADKOF Step 2.
