@TomTomson813 жыл бұрын
Aurora hits all of us. For me, the statement here is less the desire to be a child again and to be ignorant, but rather to remember the values you had back then. As a child, race, gender, and other things were not relevant to everyone. You were more open to other people and unreservedly nice to each other. At most you argued about toys or because you didn't want to go to bed in the evening. I think that's rather the point of the song.
@John-gv2ug3 жыл бұрын
I think you may be confusing ignorance with innocence. Children aren't ignorant. Ignorance is lack of awareness or deliberately denying the obvious. If childhood is ignorance, why do so many people look back on their childhood with fondness? We look back on the innocence. There are many things that we don't fully understand when we are children, that is not the same as being ignorant.
@TomTomson813 жыл бұрын
@@John-gv2ug He used the word ignorance in connection with childhood in the video. I just picked it up and said that it wasn't in my opinion. If then in connection with race, gender etc. than they are ignorant, what is positive. I think you might be the confused one here.

Agree. Or going back to the time in your life where you hadnt yet discovered how cruel the world is. From all the wrongs we do with nature, to all the wars around the world. How much hate there is in it. That is for me what the song is really about. Innocence, not knowing how bad everything is. Me, I personally hurt. I hurt seeing all the bad things. Thinking of all our wrongs. I worry. Worry that we will destroy each other. Our planet. This world needs healing.

This song is such a good reminder to try to delete and remove all the bullshit we have inside us. All the prejudice, all the negativity. This is the call of the phoenix, to be born again and look at life differently, with new eyes and see the magic of being and value life again. It's so easy to get stuck in a routine and thought patterns... thank you Aurora.

As I previously said, MANY times, this is one of her songs that ALWAYS leaves me crying. The kinda scary thing is that she can touch something inside my being when she sings, and I can't place that something anytime else...she doesn't even needs words, her vocalisations speak to me, to a "me" that I lost contact with, and I really wish I didn't.

the way you feel this song, the look of your eyes, i can see a lot of pain there, you must be a tough man, a tough man after through a lot of things in life, but deep inside you, you're tired and just want a rest, a peaceful break from the hardness of life. your tears is a prove that you have a gentle heart, I just wanna say it's never too old to keep our inner child alive no matter how small it is, and when we have that small piece inside us, it's like a remedy when something bad happened, because through the eyes of a child, we see everything simpler as it is. keep happy and healthy. ❤❤❤

Yup, you ain't wrong about the cathedral being very cool. All Norwegians are extremely proud of it. It stands in the town of Trondheim and it's 850 years old, built in the Gothic style. The west outside wall is covered with stone statues and is one of the most photographed spots in the whole of Norway. It's been ravaged by age and fire through the years but is still standing proud after multiple renovation efforts lasting several years. The building itself is so heavy that parts of it has sunk several feet into the ground over the centuries. This is most evident at a little side door that was built with a step down to the ground. That door is today a couple of steps down from ground level... It's certainly worthy of a visit if you ever come to Norway.

The amazing thing about this song is the fact that the part without word is almost as long as the ''lyrics'' part, but cary as much emotion. And you know what? She is not ''that'' magical, (according to her) she's just saying thing that we all can feel, the magic is in everyone, she is just opening our doors and reveal ourself to us, that is her super power. And listening to you explaining how you feel since you becam a Warrior and Wirdo (the Aurora fan) her magic works on you too, reaveling yourself to yourself, without judging you, without expecting from you, just reconecting with you. Have a nice journey my friend.

@@HighlyCombustibleReacts You should watch this a cappella version of the song privately: youtu . be/CFzExUN1N8I With just Aurora's voice and the heavenly harmonies with her crew, it is just as magical as this version, but in a different way (and she looks even more "elven" or "otherworldly" in this video in my opinion). Btw the church council said no at first to this concert in the cathedral, something about pop music was not for a church. Now it is a legendary concert, and someone wrote it was shown on national tv (NRK) every Christmas since then (it was recorded Nov 2017, and shown at Christmas 2017 for the first time). I think we might be very lucky to have Aurora and her music with us, considering some of her early lyrics, like "Awakening" is literally about a girl/woman about to drown herself, and from "Lucky": "Not anybody knows that I am lucky to be alive" and from "Winter Bird": "All I need is to remember, How it was to feel alive" She said in this interview youtu . be/Bb9J68FSjo0&t=9m30s (CC for subs): "I thought a lot about death when I was a child. I remember that when I got nice things for my birthday, I would get sad. Because I thought 'But I'm going to die one day! What will I do with this thing then?!'"

A superb reaction. This performance, in this setting is simply an artistic masterpiece. There are artists with huge contracts and multi millions of records sold who do not come anywhere near this very, very special young lady. When Aurora articulates her vision, she can break your heart, then produce a sweet smile that let's you know that everything will be alright in the end. Aurora answers her own question from "Daydreamer", "I know I'm just a girl but can I change lives?". The "I think I can" that she states in her lyrics is in fact a most emphatic "YES", which is resoundingly echoed in all the comments to the many videos posted by her and about her. Continue they journey and don't forget to watch some of the interviews.
