Susan Blane is a welcome addition to the Gilded Age cast. Can it possibly have anymore talent? Yet it keeps doing it. Laura alway brightened my heart with her uncanny Melania impersonation. A bright spot during a dark period which never seems to go away.

Ah, yes, a show about amazing time travel and lush, soaring melodies. Done in a basement with two spinets and no stagecraft. Not even a puff of smoke from the wings. But, lord, we laughed a lot.

Hi Lewis. I have to agree with you---this show cries out for the full, lush treatment it deserves and at least approached in its world premiere at the Old Globe. Off-Broadway was probably not the right place for it. Still, I enjoyed it and the score has lovely things like this one and the title song. Glad to hear you at least enjoyed your time with it.

No, it’s based on a fantastic Jack Finney novel of the same title as the musical - which I can’t believe I never knew existed, though I knew Redford and others had wanted to film it over the years. Most editions have wonderful photos of the key old-New-York locations the 20th-century guy ends up in (won’t say more about the plot). We fans of the book are a small but passionate group: I first read it during my daily subway commutes (before I became so engrossed I basically never put it down), and routinely had strangers spontaneously exclaim, “What a great book!” (seriously, best meet-cute magnet I ever had). O, what I’d give to see this show!

In.Gilded Age there are many great musical stars and Tony Award winners Audra Mc Donald 6 Donna Murphy 2 Nathan Lane 3 Kelli O Hara and Laura Benanti 1 and there are also Deborah Monk.Michael Cerveris and Christine Benansky.If we also talk about Carrie Coe Morgan Spector Cinthia Harvey and all the others few TV séries had this great cast.As they are talking about the Metropolitan Opera Kelli O Hara could have sing and also Audra and Laura. But I think that their characters will not sing in the show.

Time and Again. An adaptation of the book by the same name. It's about a modern man who finds himself puled into the past. (IIRC, the show has him captivated by a found portrait of Laura's character. Julia is playing his present-day girlfriend.
