@@Lcr34 yes it can be tuned, piggyback ecu will always only have 80% tops of ecu control and is always constantly fighting the ecu for control by manipulating the voltage... In short a chip is fixed with presets from the supplier when purchase AND HAS NOT been tuned to suit a specific cars A/F ratio... just because the supplier says this chip will work with exhaust upgrade and will give u perfect A/F ratio is a lie all exhaust are slightly different and will make a car push out diffrent exhaust volume... the unichip cant auto correct for this becuase again its a fixed tune on it with only 80% tops....acutely maybe even less because a chip isnt a standalone ecu but a chip that connects to the ecu... In short a chip is far less controllable then a full ecu remap.... u can get a full ecu remap on any factory ecu but u just have to soldier on rom chip on it....no not a uni chip... please check out the 2

@@jmoore9806 I know the difference between both. You dont need to pry open the ecu for some vehicles, for example PX ranger can be done with obd2 flash. Talking about controls, many of those high horsepower drag utes are controlled by either ECUSHOP piggys or unichips.

Single cab 2007 with patriot campers dual cab tray converted onto my single - only in Australia, 300hp through gturbo, wrapped, replica to the dual cab pcor, but set for tow though no coil convert. Brock Sinclair lol there’s a reason patrols dominate the comp scene. They are tough as fuck compared to a cruiser. No point having high power if you just break everything. Landcruiser are fine around the farm with stock power and have great reliability but don’t spin that into them being strong because they are not. Patrols are made to be modded landcruisers are made to run stock when it comes to power and abuse Offroad. I’ll take a patrol anyday for serious tough Offroad work and a landcruiser for the farm as more parts more dealers and better in 50 degree heat if it’s a modern v8 but the 1hz has its own issues with overheating anyway

Each to their own it’s our money that gets chewed up at the end of the day if we make the wrong call ;) I agree that each are suited to different sutuations. I have an Offroad car that doesn’t get driven around town much at all (second car for that) so for me patrol is better love a coil cab canopy setup for trips into hectic places
