I've been watching a lot of these, but I just wanted to say I think these parents really understand the struggle a lot of these kids have with smoking. It's an addiction and so many of the parents seem to expect kids to just quit cold turkey without any changes, but these people actually seem to understand the struggle these kids are going to go through and they're trying to accommodate a positive change in their lives.

These are probably my favorite family(except the Harry Potter thing) them seem very straightforward and not as controlling. Also willing to help the teens stop smoking with nicotine gum and patches is so kind because most of the family’s would have made them quit cold turkey.

People in the comments seem to be railing on the parents for not allowing Harry Potter, but those are just their beliefs and interpretations, it doesn't make them insane. It is only Harry Potter after all, you don't need it to survive. She even offered them nicotine gum and patches later. That's really understanding and considerate when asking them to stop smoking. It's certainly more than most parents on this show offer.
