@ccraig412 its a bit fast but I can't change the speed on it without going to a 3 phase motor. it does its job well tho, because momentum makes up for lack of motor HP
@Aussie5013 жыл бұрын
@grafficsgeek they have a tiny amount on them, but there are few buyers around here. not to mention data security issues associated with selling disks that are not properly wiped.
@Aussie5013 жыл бұрын
@Balarick not with those amps, it would melt instantly. I need a good 3Hp 220V 3 phase motor, but that will be part of the re-design
@Aussie5013 жыл бұрын
@daewooparts I shredded about 8 of them, and 245Win caliber. I am keeping NATO standards or old mil-spec stuff (30-06, .30 carbine, 45ACP etc)

i have a good idea, computer moniters have those sheets of plexiglass, use those to completely cover the top of the shredder but you can still see the destruction

Have you considered reclaiming the gold and other precious metals in the electronic waste? It seems like you get quite a bit. I've seen it written that electronic waste has about 2 oz gold per ton of circuit boards, as well as silver and other precious metals. Two oz gold is now worth about US$ 3500. Just asking...

@Aussie50 i try to seperate everything ,but i get the steel out by using the magnets recovered from the HDD's those are strong ,in korea we shred our defective and claims HID ballast that don't get rebuilt ,lots of aluminum and copper in them,especially the older ones,out homemade shredder works good as well as a modded meat grinder , one of my friends in korea who is in the scrap business that recycles lots of computers actually got real shredders from SSI.i want to get a used muffinmonster
