You forgot / didnt know one mechanic - Walls conduct Aqueducts. So you can connect an aqueduct to one side of the wall and continue it on the other side to another cistern. Try it!

It's a similar tradeoff with walling, but it seems like the aqueducts and cisterns are built fairly quickly

Those aqueducts seems like a huge vulnerability, since they can be attacked at different points, making them a liability and a target for the enemy to harass

When you think about it they are an advantage, so whatever harass you do you just take that advantage away, not that big of a deal. Certainly pain for perfectionists.

What we haven't seen so far is walls and towers (with mangonel emplacement) to protect all these, I think that's how you're supposed to play Byzantines. Plus with Akritai and that defence focus of the cistern (Praesidium) it's gonna be hard to get through. Very defense and density focused civ

the "toi" in "Akritoi" is pronounced like the "tea", Akritoi is the plural for the greek word Akritos. The proper spelling though is akritai or akrites and is pronounced differently with "eh" in the end and with emphasis in the "kri" syllable instead of the "A". I have no clue why the devs spelled it incorrectly.

They won't be perfectly balanced. When there is multiple factions/civs it is hard to perfectly balance it. That is why other RTS games stick with 3 or 4 factions.

@@user-rj8tr6sp7e pretty strong wording for a multiplayer RTS. as a person above said, they need to promote new civs (DLC overall), so they pumping up their capabilities. thankfully, developers do have balance team and stats, if these new civs really are that strong, they'll be tweaked in favor of balance eventually. overall i wouldn't say byz or jap are better/stronger than other civs, just having more unique mechanics. i can assure you, good ol' longbow/zhuge nu/feud maa rush(enter any other strategy) will destroy them as any other civs, u get the general idea
