With the card that gives +15 line of sight it's actually good to have the mill in forward base, waste of time for them if they siege it too as you won't be using it.

Awesome video and great strat from aiz. This actually seems very viable, at first glance 3 cards for equivalent of 10 vills doesn't seem that amazing but once you add up all the small benefits it starts to make a lot of sense. Mills with plus 15 LOS, help give you a lot of warning of incoming raids or an enemy near the forward base, age up itself saves you 100 food and provides 200 on completion, also get 7 sheep, semi fattened cows(could eat them straight away to help barracks production), the mills also give +50 pop so saving 500 wood, the second delaware card also becomes very valuable the longer the game goes on. I wonder if you could do a defensive variation of this build, use the 1st sheep card to actually make a livestock pen with all 7 fattening, age up with delaware send advanced homesteading and put 2 mills in base, then fertile lowlands 2 more mills and you can put semi fattened cows on the pen too + any livestock depending on the map, would certainly be a huge amount of food from the livestock at the cost of 10 less pop and 1 settler wagon. USA also have a 7 semi fattened cows card as well.

Been doing this since release but definitly not a rush. I did it as a FI with the whole herdable stuff. It's nice too see tough! Also the USA seems to settle as a rush civ like russian that needs to slow down the opponent while you set up the eco behind! Goodbye semi-ff lobby xD

The thing about this build is taxation mills give the most building exp before the estates. I think it's around 65 for building it.

The US seems like they can be really strong but I'd say they have a high skill cap and floor since there's so many different lines you can take and you typically have to commit to one.

You blow 3+1 cards and a free age upgrade for a unique rush. Return: Those mills might be useful in age 4, you save you 500 wood for housing (minus villie time), get extra line of sight AND deliver 5 settler wagons. Surely there are better cards? I only see this as a rush strat for 1v1 that may not be as good as others.

there are other benefits too, like the 7 sheep from age 1 card, the semi fattened cows are a ton of fast gathering food, age up also saves you 100 food as it's a 700 food age up and provides 200 food upon age up. All that line of sight from the mills gives you tons of warning about any incoming raids, the second delaware card for regulars is very valuable. When you combine all that with the 5 settler wagons which are worth 2 vills each, it's not that bad at all.

He gets los of most of map, 10 vills 400xp just for building mills 500 wood worth of houses and about half a herd worth of hunts if he doesn’t fatten them. He does all this while getting the normal settlers at the same time

@@RipperJack77 That's what I'm worried about with getting the devs to fix it. It doesn't affect the gameplay, which is the most important part, but I'm afraid the devs might ignore some of the less competitive aspects of the game even if they are immersion breaking.

The inaccurate US flag on the home city button and the fact that some home city customizations are permanent are other concerns I have too.

@@Toonrick12 The red stripes are supposed to be on the outside (that was to increase visibility when it was first used as a naval flag). The home city button flag has the white stripes on the outside instead. In game it is white red white, but it is supposed to be red white red. A bit nitpicky, but it matters to me. Also really odd that they only got it wrong in one place (the home city button). Everywhere else it appears is right.

It is DLC or you can unlock it by completing the 50 challenges before I want to say the 22nd of this month. It'll take a least 17 days since you're limited to three a day, so you'd better start soon.
