On September 17th 2022 13 year old Austin suffered a spontaneous spinal cord infarction while running, causing a rapid onset of paraplegia.T2 to T12 of his spinal cord was affected, rendering him a paraplegic from nipple line down. His treatment, the medical interventions and his return to walking, his ongoing recovery and positive outlook are outlined in this video. Throughout he has maintained an incredibly positive and resilient mindset and inspired us and those around him. The support and love from our community, as well as our gratitude to the health services in Australia is immense.
Like Austin reminds us ..." This is a pretty positive story now".
