Austin's degree is in music theater - long ago I saw the play and Austin sings it better than the one I saw! Sebastien is such a talented musician. I don't know if you noticed how he kept a constant watch on Austin to ensure he was playing the right phrase and pace. They're dynamite together. Their rendition of "Tears in Heaven" is a two hanky listen. Thanks for playing this & your comments.

This song expresses how I felt some years ago when my “little boy” was getting shot at in Iraq for a year, and all I could do to help him was pray. I wished many times that I could have taken his place, so he could be home to be daddy to his 1-yr old son instead of me trying to play daddy! Austin “killed” this song, as he always does!

If anyone can watch this, especially for the first time, and not get emotional, must either be deaf, or a robot. He sang, and Sebastian played so beautifully and with so much heart and soul. I’m not super religious, but this song (and a very few others) get to me. Home Free’s cover of “How Great Thou Art” always gets me in the feels. Of course, the video scenery adds to it. I don’t think you’ve reacted to that one yet, but I could be wrong. It’s one of their viral videos from late 2016.

This song is one of musical theatre's finest moments, and Austin and Sebastian lived up to its legacy. So beautiful. Sebastian is an A+ accompanist, and not all pianists can claim that exacting talent. Austin's voice is so pure and controlled. Wow. I've mentioned it before, but one more time won't hurt -- Austin's "Georgia On My Mind" is a must-do! He takes on another legend and nails it! Love your reaction to all things Home Free! Keep going!

Every parent who ever sent a child off to war is represented by this song. I don't know how many times I've heard this song now. It makes me cry every single time. For reference, Les Misérables is a French novel by Victor Hugo in the 1860's. The story is set during the Napoleonic Wars. The singer is the character Jean Valjean who is praying to bring home the boy he loves as if he were his own son. Sebastian is so good with his placements in the accompaniment that you don't realize just how good he is. That ending is stunning too! Not only did he end it on a high note, he actually did a crescendo! I think it went from one note to a slightly higher note but I'm not musician enough to tell. Spectacular!

When I lived in Jersey in 1998-2002 (during 911 I was on the shoreline loading the barges for the firefighters while Manhattan burned) the first show I watched on Broadway was Les Mis. I got front row center mezzanine seats. I have always loved this music (though stars is my favorite). Austin kills it and his last note jumps up higher than the original artist taking it to a new level. Thank you for sharing this classic we all love!

I've listened to Austin sing this live, and have also heard him sing it on KZbin, in different recorded-live versions of it, with at least three of the group harmonizing with him. It doesn't matter which way he does it, it's always wonderful. Every time I hear THIS version (not even going to try to remember how many times), these days, I keep thinking, "Wow! Wouldn't it be wonderful if he and Dan Vasc would sing it as a duet--switching back and forth with the melody and harmonies. I think they would blend WONDERFULLY together, it would be totally wonderful! Either that, or Dan could sing "How Great Thou Art" along with the whole group. He has talked about doing an entire "metalized" traditional hymns album, and if he does it, he figures he'll put THAT song on Track #1. I can just hear the six of them singing that song...oh...my...word!!!

I don't think he did much musical theatre as such after college. When he went on to the cruise ships, they mostly do excerpts or single songs, and after a few years he was promoted to lounge singer. Personally (though I know he would deny it) I think he would have been happier in musical theatre, and more successful. His acting is great and he has a very winning personality. Still, we are where we are!

Red, I have been waiting for the day to come that you reacted to this song, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. I have watched many, many reactors review this and other songs that are equally soul-touching, and can say that I have been thoroughly disappointed by the multitude of fake emotions I have seen. Many reactors have lost me as a follower for just that reason. The "corner of the eye dab" with a never-ending smile on their face is a joke. YOU, on the other hand, have an appreciation for music that I will continue to listen to...from the tension in your face at just the right time to the cracking of your voice, there is little doubt that you felt and experienced every single note of this song. A really nice rendition, and your reaction WOW! I totally understand your reaction, it’s just a beautiful song. I’m a bit of a fan of Les Miserables, the singer who I remember was Alfie Boe, he was accompanied by Claude-Michel Schönberg its composer on piano. See you later when you’ve sorted your makeup out 🌹
