No. Listen to #MichaelJackson sing it. This kid is good. His talent has to be nurtured, but he is not #MJ .. The beginning is great, but he needs more breath control. #MichaelJackson had breath control like no other singer. Plus, the smooth backup as #MJ's brothers. I agree it’s foolish to say anyone will top MJ. However, this song has a way of showcasing where you stand if you can deliver it even close to the same age as MJ. I was working with this beautiful soul for sometime as his vocal coach and in my artist development program for three years. When Austin first came to me he couldn’t even sing an entire song. This song was the best way to showcase who he was and his potential. I feel Austin slayed a dragon on this performance. It was his first real performance as an artist. Not long after we helped develop his skills as a professional, his dad was able to navigate a record deal for him with an imprint of Universal. I couldn’t be more proud of Austin and what he’s accomplished with that fire of his. I knew when I first met him he was made for this! His God given gifts already have impacted many. Go Austin!

Well, the song was sung by Michael Jackson at the same age in the late 60’s on the Ed Sullivan show. The same show that wouldn’t show Elvis Presley from the waist down! So they were very conservative in the 60’s compared to today! My thought is ... If they didn’t feel it wasn’t inappropriate back then , it’s kind of interesting that you do. I think why most don’t share your opinion is because the innocence of children singing, changes the whole understanding of the lyrics. It brings the childlike innocence of love to the song. I appreciate your opinion and stance. I just wanted to share how many receive it. I do understand why you feel that way, though. Thanks 🙏🏻 for sharing your thoughts.
