I’ve watched this movie multiple times and I’m completely obsessed with how he transformed himself into Elvis, Lisa would of felt so much comfort in Austin’s presence in the last few years of her life. Being able to feel some type of closure as a adult to the sudden passing of her father. Being able to relive that love that she felt inside for her father and mother. Even though Austin will never be the real Elvis himself she welcomed this man and connected with him to bring this man that she loved so dearly back to life.

He means more to him for Lisa and Presley family then himself, though he deserves to be proud of his hard work. This may be first Oscar’s where the big star thought of others besides himself. This is not just an award, it’s validation of Elvis, s work, he wasn’t a joke, he was a true talent, and Presley Family saw that, it’s rare when real life family approves. Lisa was impressive he gave her joy, that Oscar carries more then ego. It’s another Cinderella story for Elvis. He would be humbled, honored and proud to be acknowledged through movies. Though his movies were corny , they did well at box office, Elvis still entertaining musically , so he contributed to popcorn fun at the matinees , no different then Frankie And Annette, Gidget, Tammy, they were just light fluff fun . That’s important too, lots of happy memories , I’m sure the boyfriends had fun at the drive ins with their girlfriends, chick flick. But old Hollywood veterans were even in awe of him, I think more so because he was so respectful and polite not the supposed animal they saw on stage. So he did contribute a bit to Hollywood. Austin if he wins will prove this. It will be a bittersweet moment. But will put a conclusion on the value Elvis had on music world, some still may not like his music , not fans , but they cannot deny the power he had almost 50 years. You go Austin, Elvis and Lisa rooting. But what ever happen s you still Made Elvis proud. Thank you

It would be so powerful if he won that Oscar and took it to Graceland to either be displayed there or bury it next to her grave. I know that they were truly so close especially since he lost his mother and lisa losing her son. The bond was evident in every interview or appearance they had together. plus the fact that he portrayed her father…. it would just be such a full circle moment to have that award be brought home to Lisa. Plus, I think it would be really special for Austin to to have that in a place where he’s obviously probably always going to be welcomed at.

these interviewers were WAY too perky off the bat, all due respect, considering they should have known they just had the Lisa-Marie memorial a day or two prior to this, and he and others are still in mourning. There should have a been a little more somber tone IMHO.
