I started searching for Patty Loveless on YT after hearing Kenny Vaughn talk about playing with her. He stated that he really liked her first three albums. He left after management insisted that she develop a more (contemporary style i.e. the Garth Brooks Syndrome). She is the real deal and is from Pikeville, KY. Anyway, the shift in modern country to a slicker show biz format was too much for Kenny Vaughn who then left to play with Lucinda Williams. It guess that this more a comment on the state of contemporary country music. I hear that with some exceptions that it has gotten pretty awful. I really enjoy Patty although I am not a huge country fan as it is now. Austin City Limits showcases worthwhile artists.
