Iggy was born the same year as my mom. Mom is pretty cool. She was lamenting the other day about getting older. I said check this vid out. Played it through her good stereo.(sounds much better that way) I don't think is was her cup of tea, but she was inspired that this dude her age, can out freak the best of us.

Im new to Iggy Pop and I don’t understand where all the hate is coming from. All I can say is that this is damn refreshing and that Iggy Pop to me seems so ancient and hardened, which makes him all the more awesome to me. Rolled around in glass, invented the stage dive, peed on his audience. What do you expect him to do as an old man? Sit in a rocking chair with a polo vest and glasses sipping tea? Nah he takes off his shirt showing his zombie like body worn down from the liquor and drugs and freaks people out just like he always has. I do think it’d be cooler if he wrote and played newer music, but then again nobody would show up to his shows lol. But I’d be standing right there to watch this homeless man with a microphone go nuts before my very eyes. Amen.
