The Bad Seeds don't get nearly enough credit for being one of the most dynamic backing bands in music history.

The bass player and drummer especially. They’re on a whole other level from most musicians.

The first time I heard this song, I was like “hmm... it’s kinda long and doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.” But a couple hundred listenings later. holy shit, it’s one of my favorite songs of all time. I just can’t get enough of it. And this is probably the best version. It’s hot, it’s hot, it’s hot, it’s hot.
@MilkyJoe9543 жыл бұрын
It's a good version, but when I saw him at O2 London it went a whole level further. He EXPLODED after 'heartbeat' getting really stuck into the crowd and encouraging everyone on the front row to feel his chest. There were at least a couple minutes more of the 'Boom boom boom' lines as the band built and swelled. Never found a version like it on KZbin but it stuck with me. So. Special
@AdrastosLamnon2 жыл бұрын
@Erik EXACTLY how I feel 'bout this song! Though @J Anson's right too. In the 2017 tour (I saw the live concert in Athens) the song was elevated to another level the way it is described on the comment. Sadly there's no such official version on KZbin (I hope -yet!-), only fans' camera videos.

I've been a Nick Cave fan since I was maybe 14 (I'm 41 now). I knew this song was fire when, about 5 years ago, we were listening to it in the car on a road trip. My second son, who is an unreal empath, was about 4 at the time. About halfway through the song, he just burst into tears, wailing. Of course, I switched it off immediately and comforted him. He only ever did that with one other song. When he was about 6 months old, Nine Simone singing "Pirate Jenny" would bring on a whole fit. I love my son, and I love Nick Cave.

Michael Raphael The term "Higgs Boson blues" is used to describe the period of time after physicists discovered the God particle. Apparently after decades of searching, once they'd found the Higgs Boson they had a period of time where they had no idea what to do and dubbed it "the Higgs Boson blues". Interesting, hey?
@truefunksoul86384 жыл бұрын
Ride W sorry that's just nonsense. The Higgs boson was not 'found' only theorised, and Nick coined the term "Higgs Boson Blues" for this song. Never let the facts get in the way of a good made up story, hey? Thanks for the laughs though, best comic line was "they had no idea what to do", which had me picturing hordes of depressed scientists at CERN moping around for "a period of time" wondering what to do with their lives. Classic stuff!

Second i dont think you can pay for tickets, im not sure on that one, so you have to adjust Third, you are in part right, theres people whos cameras habilities are crap but there ar a certain few who takes seriously and try to get great pics or videos to write about it or share and keep this artists alive andg get the to a wider audience. Fourth, if someone is recording and not paying attention they clearly shouldnt be doing one of them, but when you now, yo can record, pay atention and even be drinking water from a cup in your mouth sustained only by the teeth , boy do i know😂
