Gotta thank Johnny Cash and Puddles Pity Party. I’m a huge Cash fan and heard Nick’s strange duet on American 3 - So Lonesome I Could Die. About the same time I heard Puddles perform Shipsong. Both times I said “Who is this guy?” So I looked him up and was floored by every song I heard. I laugh now because I thought I made a huge discovery. I guess I just discovered what many discovered over the past 40 years. I am shocked by how much this music makes me feel.

Nice save. But the term you're looking for is "poetry", since the comment was not the opposite of what I expected. It was exactly what I expected.
@davidwhite70908 жыл бұрын
+Xdray Gul my comment was a generalisation of his body of work, no save involved. You seem bent on disrespecting me, try being happy it's free.

I get the impression that somebody as intelligent and aware as Nick Cave can see the positives and near perfection of the simple and naive society he is talking about. On the other hand, he’s also aware that such a place cannot exist, the safety of it is always threatened, because the chaos and confusion of the uncertain outside world with its sexual and political freedom as well as its mindless violence is always lurking. One only has to see the neighbourhoods Nick Cave chooses to live in, those peopled by the middle class, elderly and predominant white society, to understand this. And who can blame him? Don’t we all want to get away from the tense and anxious postmodernism of our times and the cities, where one cannot be sure if a man is a man or a woman is a woman, or if you’re going to get accused of something you haven’t done, or get robbed at gunpoint? Don’t we all want to live in a place where God and sense prevails? A known world of safety and security. And yet, we can’t: it imprisons us. It’s a futile attempt.

Methinks that the god is in the house even with the lesbians and the computer geeks...and the non painted kittens...that was the point no.
