This song is literally about how he's damned when he dies because he sold his soul.
@snowangel79804 жыл бұрын
@AVRIELLA ALBERT Moe Yes. The opening verses are often interpreted as him having killed himself, to create a new version of himself. This "rebirth" note is common in mythos about selling your soul. He sees in the past a silhouette of himself. Scarmouche is used to refer to a fool, and fandago is part of an old English term for hanging someone. He sees his past self, believes that he's been a fool, and contemplates hanging himself. But he stops himself, because who has his old self, his soul, will not be let go. And when he dies, one of the princes of Hell, Beelzebub, has put aside a devil for him. He explains that "he's just a poor boy, nobody loves me". He was deeply invested in making the band successful. For the sake of music, but also because it was a pathway out of his poor life. He says "so you think you can stone me and spit in my eye, so you think you can love me and leave me to die." The idea of him being this world famous rockstar sounds great, that you'll be immortalized. But it doesn't matter if people love him or hate him, because he's going to die and the people who love him can't stop it. He says "just got to get out" but he can't. And resigning himself to the reality, declares again that nothing really matters to him. Because the life and success he has created on earth has not been worth the cost of his soul.

This song honestly means so much to me.. I remember being 4 and it playing on our old computer and me and my mum dancing around the living room, both singing the lyrics, it was the last song I danced to with my nan... we were at the nearby pub when I was 9 my nan grabbed my hands and spun me around then my mum, sister, mums old boyfriend, great nan, uncle, and all the other people in the pub danced aswell.. she died a week later at the age of 49 (she was very young for a nan).. every club I go I have to ask for them to play it. When it comes on in the car me and my mum start rocking out. I'm 14 now and honestly this song is so beautiful and meaningful for me.

People are allowed to criticise even if they don’t play an instrument, people have ears, and if something sounds terrible then it probably is played terribly. In my opinion this was a rushed performance, maybe they were stressed but it would’ve been better if they played at a slower pace and if the drummer and guitarist actually learned the song.

It’s hard to pace when surrounded by voices, you have to blend and listen to everyone around you, so if one person speeds up it causes a ripple effect and acapella is a type of music genre but unless a certain song calls for it it’s rare for actual choirs to sing in acapella because it’s challenging to learn. Plus it’s not the instruments fault that they rush it’s just what happens in choir, blending and keeping pace and rhythm is difficult.

Could've eased up on the drums a bit, made me quite nervous. But the singing and overall performance were amazing, well done!

I like most of the renditions of this song, but my favorite will always be The Muppets version!

This sounds like such a basic high school choir. Not well blended. Just people singing because they can.

Chanelle Baldwin facts. I don’t know why, but my school’s choir is so much better than the others towns nearby.

Anakin Winder I’m not in a choir but I come from a musical family so I can say I agree with you. The points where it was just one note or one voice felt kind of lazy because they could’ve harmonized to make it sound better. That’s actually why I never went to choir. It’s underwhelming and therefore a waste of my time when I do something more worth my time. I play piano by ear too so I can clearly hear it.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see, I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, Because I'm easy come, easy go Little high, little low Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me Mama, just killed a man Put a gun against his head Pulled my trigger, now he's dead Mama, life had just begun But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooh (any way the wind blows) Didn't mean to make you cry If I'm not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters Too late, my time has come Sends shivers down my spine Body's aching all the time Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth Mama, ooh (any way the wind blows) I don't wanna die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango? Thunderbolt and lightning Very, very frightening me (Galileo) Galileo (Galileo) Galileo Galileo Figaro Magnifico-o-o-o-o I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me He's just a poor boy from a poor family Spare him his life from this monstrosity Easy come, easy go, will you let me go? Bismillah! No, we will not let you go (let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go (let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go (let him go!) Will not let you go (let him go!) Never, never let you go Never let me go, oh No, no, no, no, no, no, no Oh, mama mia, mama mia (mama mia, let me go) Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye? (Yeah!) So you think you can love me and leave me to die? Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here Nothing really matters Anyone can see Nothing really matters Nothing really matters to me Any way the wind blows
