Two tips for disney cruise: 1 if someone is feeling sea sick... call roomservice and tell them you need green apples asap. Green apples are great for sea sickness and they know it. Cruise tip 2 get a scented car clip (the kind you put on a vent in your car) for your bathroom. It stops a lot of travel scents from other rooms that may be connected to the same vent system.

Dietitian here 👋. CGMs can be really helpful for identifying trends. Just keep in mind that glucose levels aren’t only affected by your eating habits; forms of stress will also cause glucose swings (whether that stress is emotional OR physiological… like not getting enough sleep, being sick, getting a sunburn, being dehydrated, imbalanced gut bacteria, etc). If migraines are a regular occurrence, I might explore nutrient deficiency testing and possibly food sensitivity testing (not all tests are created equal, though) in addition to monitoring glucose trends.

Austin with the sensor, put some transdermal film on it. It helps protect it in the shower and while sleeping. So you don't accidentally pull it out. It's rare to do, but it happens.

Before I got Fibromyalgia, i NEVER napped (even when I had the flu) - and, suddenly, I was forced to nap daily. I resisted it at first, because it made me feel useless, but once I gave in and listened to my body, life became livable again. It doesn't look ANYTHING like how it used to be, but I eventually got a new normal. I'm so happy your learning curve hasn't taken TOO long. Take care, sweet lady, and keep listening to your body! PS i am STOKED for your Disney cruise!! I've been dying for this ever since Paige was born - I knew they'd love it all. I can't wait!!!!!!

If you get sweaty and tired or shaky that is most likely when it will be low. I have had dangerous lows in the morning. I try to always eat a protein snack before bed and that helps. 114 is normal but if it falls below 100 it is iffy.

In nondiabetics, normal blood sugar levels are 70 to 140 mg/dl (in general), 80 to 140 mg/dL (after meals/before bed), and 80 to 99 mg/dL (fasting/upon waking and before meals). Normal blood sugar (blood glucose) levels change throughout the day and night. It does seem like you are becoming insulin resistant. Organic cranberry juice can help. ❤ I drink 1 tablespoon mixed in water a day and it has helped. Just know it is a wild ride while getting used to the new levels.

I’m a type 2 diabetic, in the summer I can’t be out in the heat, my blood sugar will spike like crazy, but when I’m In a cool building, it drops. Depending on which type of diabetes you have, you’d have to watch your carb intake since carbs break down into sugar. Staying hydrated helps too. I have the dexcom g7, and it really helps me for my type 2.

Wild turkeys can fly and do fly well. Seen them fly about quarter to half mile, but my dad says they can go farther, if they need too. I believe he said up between 1 to 3 miles. We do hunt critters, but not successful each season which it doesn't bother us. We do it to basically get a break from the world, see critters, fresh air, and more.

With a diabetic mom, I can tell that something as simple as driving, could lower you blood sugar. And even though you didn’t have that much sugar in your coffee, sugarless fluid can also lower it 😊 my mom has had the arm sensor for a while now and it’s a lifesaver, since she previously had to poke her finger to test her blood sugar. If you sugar is too high, like orange or red, drink plenty of water !

@@SuperMissblueeyes Hi and thank you! I have been to many doctors, neurologists, acupuncturists, osteopats and migraine specialist. All the preventive meds either don't work for me or they give me horrible side effects. One migraine specialist said that I have migraines and cluster headaches that are just difficult to treat. It runs in my family as well. My mom, grandma, aunt and cousin all have them or had them. It isn't hormonal and didn't ease up with menopause. If you have hypoglycemia, you need to limit your sugar and when you crash, you need protein. My dad had it worse than me, but when he would crash, he’d eat dry roasted peanuts, cheese, and never sugar. Protein is your friend. He’d carry granola bars, raisins, cheese crackers with peanut butter, and individual packs of peanuts. Those would be good to have on hand during your cruise. I hope this info helps. ❤️🥰🐸

Maybe you consume too many carbs. My husband has the most success with The Atkins Diet and they explain the white foods to eliminate much better. When my husband doesn’t take in those carbs, he feels MUCH better and his sugar levels DECREASE significantly. I would try it to see how it helps. 😃

You crash after coffee and ice cream because they are sugar. Sugar will make you rise fast and crash hard. You didn't crash after the burger because it had more protein than carbs, protein will make you rise slow and stay level. So your best bet is to eat something with sugar to rise it quickly when you are to low and right after you eat the sugar eat some type of protein to keep it leveled.

If I follow it up with protein (an egg, chunk of cheese, nuts, or even an avocado) my numbers return to normal. My dr. Says t you stay within 80-160. It all comes down to the average A1C. Below 7 is good. Lower than 6 is better. Over 8 is problematic. I wear the device for ten days and then change it. Having an over patch is helpful, especially if you get it wet ( shower) or sweaty. Also watch yourself going through doorways. Don’t bump the device.

I used to have chronic migraines but they've gone away for the most part since I went to a chiropractor for a few years. This chiropractor was different as he prescribed me a "wobble seat" ( helps loosen up the discs in the spine) and dennerolls to use at home. Dennerolls help to correct the curve in our spines. As someone who was diagnosed with slight scoliosis at 20, I take more precautions than others might. I also am looking into IV therapy. I remember when you had Austin and Cam get it done on a #mentry video and I found a local clinic. I'm just saving up to try the Meyer's cocktail with extra magnesium as my legs/feet tend to get cramps. Austin- have you ever tried essential oils? There are some days when the only thing that will help me is ibuprofen and doTERRA pastense on my temples. NEVER put off going to the doctor. I go to my dentist 2x a year, my primary doctor, eye doctor and (due to family history) dermatologist yearly. I'm also the age I have to get a mammogram done yearly too. Please make it a priority to take care of yourself as you're no good to your family if you're seriously ill.

I've had low blood Sugar for the past 20 yrs. And for me I found that if eat proteins with something sweet my sugar stays within the normal range, granted this probably doesn't work for everyone but worth a try.Hope all goes well 😊

As a health scientist & someone with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) related hypoglycaemia, I would highly recommend the low GI diet. It helps you to control your sugar & carb intake, which helps eliminate the spikes & crashes in your blood sugar. Without seeing your readings & being from the UK where we use a different units (m/mol instead of dl) to measure blood sugar, it would be difficult for me to give you further advice. However, from what you're saying about your symptoms, you may also have reactive hypoglycaemia as well as possibly developing insulin resistance. Again, I would recommend the low GI diet.

On thenblood sugar meter... youre not going to have straight lines. There will be fluxuation. Its normal. Also youre first 12 hrs on the meter, it can take a bit to calibrate to you. I get false negatives the first 6-9 hrs after changing my sensor. (I double check with finger prick tests) and my doctor says its not uncommon for the calibration to take a few hours to fix to your chemestry.

Try cutting out caffeine out during your pre menstrual. Decaf is probably worth a try.

I’m sorry for this sort of things going on. Glad you guys are finally taking initiative on your health❤! As a Type1 Diabetic, blood sugar is almost always high as you finish eating sugary things suck as coke or juice. With high carb things such as bread or cake or takes a while but be sure it’ll spike up eventually. It’s weird seeing this sort of reaction. Wishing y’all nothing but the best and especially answers and solutions to all this🫶🏼

Just a tip, check your thyroid levels. It can make your glucose and your sensitivity to heat change and be different from others.

Wow guys! Why are you crashing after you eat? That is crazy. Good luck and prayers. Any sugar issue is a bummer. It's a heck if you do or don't type sitation. I've been a diabetic since 05, and I'm sick of it. Good luck buddy!

With freestyle libre the first 24 hours the readings aren't 100% accurate. The drops are completely normal. I have hypoglycemia as long as you are in the green it is good. when you are in the red it will alarm and tell you too low. Protein helps balance your sugar levels so when it is low you don't want sugar for an instant spike. Protein helps up your levels safely as well as maintain it so you don't have another drop right after. Hope this helps.

Be careful with the wild Turkey!! We used to get a bunch in our yard, and they would chase me to my car and back to the house. They can get nasty.

Make sure to bring lots of BONINE on your Cruise. We have been on 57 wonderful Cruises and we alway's pack them to take with us. You can get then anywhere even the ship's have them but cost more. We have never gotten sick. We talk alot about wishing we lived on a Ship. Never go on carnival, they are not like they use to be, ( Party ) Ship's now. To much drinking, fighting, never again for us. Holland Ships are the BEST. Just got back from our Cruise last month and heading out to Alaska next month. I love you and your family. Started watching for the first time when Austin came home and you told him you was pregnant with Micah and I have watched every video and love them. Oh you have the PERFECT family, PERFECT parents, PERFECT little ones. They all 3 are so cute, smart, caring, loving get alone with each other, never fight just PERFECT. Will you adopt me ♥ ❤😊😊. I could watch your video's all day and never get tired of them 😊 Have a GREAT time on your Cruise. Is your mom and dad going???? Vickie from Nashville, Tennessee.
