Just so you know the bs excuse he gave: at first he saw a house on the market only 5 min away and gave an offer thinking he would %100 get the house. Someone offered more (shocking) so he didn't get it, but he still wanted to be close to the house so he could "protect the kids". This is where he got the idea to get a camper and park it right outside the house. It's also kinda obvious that it's less about the kids safety and more about him not wanting his ex to go on dates.

This whole situation is so upsetting for me, my parents split up last year and my dad is exactly like this. Everytime he gets reality checked by my mum and realises they are not getting back together and she doesn't love him, he gets very unstable. A few of the things I have experienced because of this -him referring to himself as a "sperm donor" -threatening to abandon his kids if he cant be in my mums life -treating me like his wife and mother -spamming my phone daily asking to see and talk to his OTHER kids 💀💀 -telling my 9 year old brother that he won't see him anymore because our "mum doesn't want him to" and so much more I can confirm, I do infact need and attend intense therapy twice a week. I hope to God those kids get help too.
