i feel like its moreso the case of that they've had a taste for fame, so they would mentally crumbleeee if they had to return to normal jobs

I know right!? I can't help but think though, if you'd had that level of fame it would be scary to be behind a checkout and possibly have random people in public noticing you and watching you at work 😬

Real jobs can be less outwardly humiliating but real life jobs are so abusive from the jump since most dont pay a living wage...he has kids and needs to provide n his real job skills are prob few and rusty...

He does have a real job, he works as a comedian and did shows across the country for 6 months last year. He also make KZbins still, has a podcast, he is starting to film a new tv show, all while taking care of his family. Tiktok is a something he does in his spare time, and Nash Nation on there adores him.

I just think of Gabbie Hanna when I see stuff like this, she’s just off the internet and working as a fitness coach at a YMCA and seems happy. It shouldn’t be seen as shameful to get an irl job when the internet doesn’t work out for you.

I think it's different for gabbie tho she could have continued to make money it was just so awful for her mental health that she knew it wasn't worth it

I think Gabbie chose that lifestyle and wasn't struggling for money or craving fame. Jason is desperate and he's willing to sell his soul ... I'd rather be homeless than sell my integrity.

Granted the internet would’ve worked out for her had she not spiraled into untreated mental illness. But you’re right, it shouldn’t be frowned upon to work a normal job after slight fame. I mean even devin who played Ned on Neds declassified school survival guide said he had to work as a grocery store cashier bc he couldn’t get tv work or anything. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, financially or for your mental health

Yes! Everyone knows the money you make from KZbin won’t be forever as your popularity will most likely decline at some point. He spent so much money on extravagant things instead of living below his means, which would still be way higher than the average persons, and saving money.

He didn't listen to the red flags that if his friend could treat other like crap then he was next. That was his main mistake. Need contracts with these narcs. Or get out in time. He had time to side with Jeff but he clung to David not knowing David would do the inevitable discard so classic of a narc. But he didn't know his friend would turn him. Did he give him a good wedding gift? Jason should sue David for the vlogs he was in. And got bit etc

I think Jason not working like us regular folks is all about his ego and trying to get back what once was. He needs to downsize, be responsible as a 50 yr old man and accept the KZbin/vlog ride is over. He's like boogie in believing a comeback is gonna happen and anything regular/normal is beneath them

I think he was a struggling comedian and was living with his mom before Vine and waited tables to get by. He made enough money to live with a few roommates in LA when he was doing Vine and started getting like $200-300 a show with the standup, then he met David and had like a 5 year run of huge success. I would understand if he were in his 20s, but how a 45 year old didn't plan for life after Vlog Squad is kinda amazing. He tried going back to doing comedy but that dried up real quick, and I think he tried starting a show at some point, but that failed too.

I completely get what you mean, I used to do Twitch streams with art, less so after covid/DMCA strikes etc. and I work 9-6pm most days. My tiktok's got more viewers than my Twitch ever could - But I hate the gifting system on Tiktok. And just the whole live stream system itself. At least on KZbin/Twitch you can find thing you want to watch. I feel like most of Tiktok is people begging for gifts.

A grown middle aged man is literally making a mockery of himself for money. He doesn’t care what his behavior will do to his children in school. How it will affect his wife in her career. He has succumbed to stopping so low just to survive. A lifestyle that Dobrik provided him. He humiliated that man and every other person he comes in contact with. He is manipulative and derives pleasure from seeing people tormented, physically hurt, degraded. He used them as pawns then discarded them. Much like a sociopath. Nash is having a nervous breakdown. That’s the only reason dobrik even went over to Nash’s. He wanted to see him struggling emotionally and financially. It’s control. He knows Nash will be there no matter what he does to the man. It’s sick. Every person that has left that crew, has seemingly become all around better people. They’re not being torn down. They are thriving. Nash needs a mental evaluation done. He’s manic. The burn out is coming. I’ve been there. After the DV/SA, I was the same way. Stuck in fight or flight mode. I’m disabled bc it activated a genetic autoimmune disorder I didn’t i had. I’ve never snapped back fully on any level. That man needs help. I feel for his wife and children. I can’t imagine how overwhelming that home can be bc of his lives and chaos. And I’m sure they see it. Dobrik is a horrible person. He’s got a lot of karma heading his way I’m sure.

What’s crazy to me is that I’m sure Jason Nash PRE vlog squad had a perfectly normal job. Now POST vlog squad he’s out here on some “ew a regular day job, no thanks” in hopes that David will include him in at least one video. He also seems like the creepy old guy every parent told us about in the 2000s to watch out for online. I know he’s not chatting with minors, but let’s be honest, most of TikTok is a bunch of minors being influenced by “influencers.” There are plenty of worthy causes to donate to and Jason Nash is not one of them. He is a grown man who can go read a book and learn a new skill or start at an entry level job. I’d rather see a TikTok of Jason Nash in a McDonald’s drive thru window working than him degrading himself on a TikTok live. I’m sure his kids can’t even go on TikTok without seeing their dads face. While I appreciate that David does check in on him, we all know as the audience that he’s not doing it because he cares about Jason, it’s because David’s gotta keep up the image that he cares about Jason. Jason is honestly not relevant anymore and David knows it. Jason I’m sure is aware of his relevancy but isn’t ready to throw in the towel yet. He should. He looks miserable. Also, STOP SPENDING EITHER YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY OR YOUR PARENTS HARD EARNED MONEY TO DONATE TO A GUY WHO HAS NO IDEA WHAT HARD WORK IS.

Jeez. No matter how many times I see coverage of this situation, it's always so pathetic. Like, as someone who's worked multiple jobs in retail/internships/side hustles before opening my own business, it *is* possible to make a living aside from being internet famous. Granted, it's a gradual process, but... it's something. You're making a name for yourself, yanno? These folks have just... given up. Yikes.

The one thing I really don't like about all of this is the ageism. You can slowly see how people are devalued as they get older. I think it's very cringy what he's doing, also has to be a little embarrassing for his kids, but you also never know where life is going to lead you no matter what your age. There's a lot of I would never at my age yada yada... But you don't know what life can bring at ANY age.🤷‍♀️

He flat out said he refuses to get a job. Why can’t he get a regular job when other influencers have pivoted to regular jobs? Also, why didn’t he invest any of the money he had while he had it? Why did he have to get a house out of his price range? I’m not gonna feel bad for an old dude who was handed opportunities of a lifetime and he didn’t manage them well.

18:14 The kids probably weren’t at the wedding because they are in the point in the relationship with their dad that it’s like a grieving process. You reject that everyone tells you your dads a loser. Try to get closer then realize where my dad‘s a loser. Especially since he’s way more focused on TikTok then his own children and how this affects them even emotionally. The kids gave up kids don’t give up if you give them incentive they have nothing from this dude. It’s only gonna get worse that resentment is going to grow and he’s not gonna have a relationship with them. And he has nobody to blame but himself. Nobody made you prioritize anything above your children but you. Absolutely despicable.

Whine I agree with what Ethan said about Jason having played a huge part in the vlog squad, providing content and basically being David’s monkey, I still feel like Jason is an adult who needs to do his own thing, provide for his family and be responsible. I watched him behave in a toxic manner towards Trisha for years, shame her eating habits and diet etc.. he seemed like he was high on life, didn’t think anyone could touch him, and now it seems like karma has hit him and what goes around comes back around. I think Jason is a talented comedian and has a lot to offer in terms of content creation. Instead of begging for gifts and money, I think if he actually delved into a project, something productive, we would see him flourish. At the moment it just seems like he’s scrambling to make ends meet instead of looking into the next career move.

Just know, a lot of rich people are willing to pay premium for people to humiliate themselves online and live. The people that donate are a small percentage. Most likely the same people donate. Everyone has a role in this little TikTok Live and has accepted it. If he wants to dehumanize himself for money, then that's his hustle. Just don't be surprised if it bites back in the future. Then again, these peoplr who are desperate think about the now to get by anyway, so I'm sure they don't care how much of a fool they made themselves to become.

I feel like if he wanted to he could have set up a social media consultant or networking thing to manage and do rather than doing this. Like he’s been in entertainment for while so idk why he thinks this is the only option

Why hate on Jason or TikTok live-streaming? There’s absolutely no difference between streaming there or twitch or kick or any other app, TikTok was smart and created battles and leaderboards for the top earners in their countries..and let me tell you people are making millions at the top! You’re clearly not knowledgeable on the way things work as you stated in this video, I think people just like to be haters..let the guy make his money and live. Jason is super chill and kind, leave him be ffs
