Kids shouldn't be allowed in those spaces. I wish my parents never would've taken me and my brother in there. The effect of being exposed to that shit at a young age shows. Maybe not immediately, but it will eventually. ESPECIALLY when education isn't really a thing. Something I hate with the internet recently is that they just totally forgive despicable people. Kanye, Austin, James Charles, so many. WHO IS ENABLING THESE MONSTERS?! Edit: It seems Kanye fans have found my comment. Let me elaborate: I’m aware of his severely unchecked mental illness, but you can’t simply excuse his antisemitism. He’s been controversial since…forever, really, but he’s really gone off the deep end. Not sure why there’s a lot of people who still support him. (Note: I’m fine with ‘separating the art from the artist,’ I used to do that too, I was a fan myself. It still felt weird to give him money through Spotify, among other streaming platforms.) Edit 2: Also, thanks for more examples. Completely forgot about James Charles.

The Spencer's staff pissed me off! As a Spencer's worker yes kids are allowed in the store but if they aren't teens we keep them towards the front. You have to be 16+ to buy vibes and insertion toys and 18+ for lubes, pills etc and 21+ for smoke stuff. If I saw a parent bringing a child that young to the back to play with the stuff I would escort them out immediately! Not to mention those lollipops we keep out of the reech of children so he literally had to pull one down for her. Those workers need to be talked to because we are literally told In training to watch when children come in the store.

in that video with Austin's niece, it looks like they're in a Spencer's. I used to work at one years ago, probably around when he posted that. I know this is besides the point, but they sell regular candy. Not just the adult versions. He made a conscious decision to be a creep and buy her that for views, instead of doing what any other adult would do and say "hey let's get this bag of hi-chew instead", if not keeping them out of the store altogether.

The penis lollipop video is so insane to me. Like it'd be one thing if it was a joke novelty candy at, like, a street vendor (like the ones on the Vegas streets) and the kid picked it up and asked for it. Because then it would be a funny little misunderstanding you could laugh off and then buy them candy somewhere else. But to bring a child into an adult store KNOWING IT IS AN ADULT STORE, and then proceed to ACTUALLY BUY THE PENIS SHAPED LOLLIPOP FOR THE CHILD??? I just- 😧
@Bananasplitsssz
@Bananasplitsssz 11 ай бұрын
Ikr! It’s so disgusting, especially because you KNOW that those lollipops were made for some kind of adult content, Or something like that. The joke of it is “hahaha penis lolly pop, hahaha” but as soon as you bring CHILDREN into that kind of joke and get the child to LICK IT? That eminently becomes predatory content. Like what you said, if it was out on the street or somewhere the child could accidentally come across it in a “accident caught that on film” moment it would be funny, but the fact he took her to the adult section, probably pointed out the lollys and started filming his NIECE pretending to lick it, that was disgusting.

It was already weird. It is not normal or okay to encourage children to engage with sexual stuff. Because they are CHILDREN. Please do not actually buy A CHILD a candy shaped like a dick.

@@graciehatton2828 you order it online, you take whatever other path you could take to NOT bring them there. it's not sexualizing a kid or people with kids not being allowed to have fun, it's kids simply not meant to be there. would you take your kid to a bar or a nightclub because you want to have fun? obviously not. similar thing here. you're also making all other adults around really uncomfortable because they're going to have to censor themselves to account for a child that wasn't even meant to be there in the first place. kids shouldn't be allowed in 18+ spaces period. you figure it out, don't make it a problem for everyone else too (and that's in the case where it doesn't harm the child to learn about something too young they shouldn't have. learning about sexual things in a age not appropriate can caused a lot of harm to kids.)

I remember seeing the video of him taking his niece to Spencers and being like "wtf is he taking her to an adult store?" When he constantly tells her to keep it a secret, it allows children to be exploited that way by actual p*dos because they can just say the same thing to her (or other children) to get away with the things they are doing. Austin is clearly making it seem like it's a bad thing but he's doing it in a joking way which takes away from how serious it is TO HER. All someone has to do is turn whatever they do to her into a JOKE and tell her to keep it quiet in the same way he has and in her mind it's not that serious (and she won't tell/the p*do will get away with doing it). That's a dangerous lesson to teach a child.

cooper :") been watching your vids for a while now. as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse i really appreciate not only how you blurred out such vile behaviour and pixelated to protect the kids privacy (unlike her scumbag guardian), but idk your frustration is so refreshing not that other people dont get angry at these twats but idk what I'm trying to say. i appreciate you talking about this and i love your hair u look so cool

Cooper, i really like your new haircut! 🥺 also, his act with niece is not only disgusting, exploitative, and exposing to her adult content (then posting her online for c.s.o's to see), but him telling her "this is our little secret" is literally what predators do to groom their victims into keeping what they do to them from trusted adults.

I’ll never forget how I said something about how weird the lollipop incident was and people just kept saying “stop sexualizing children” 😐 That is why I never fell for that BS. If you’re a parent, you’re supposed to protect your children; there’s more family content creators than we are all comfortable admitting that purposely make OFF content with their children specifically for the part of their fanbase that is composed of creeps.

"stop sexualizing children" yet austin was the one who sexualized a child in the first place... like how can you look at that video and think it Wasn't made for some gross fetish content reasons. yeah it's totally normal to film a child in a "suggestive" situation (idk how else to call it) and post it online for everyone to see and of course You are in the wrong for calling him out. everyone gives their children dick shaped lollipops it's no big deal /s

I think the only way I've seen ethical "family vlogging" is with Jessica Kellgren-Fozzard's channel. Jessica and her wife Claudia are not family vloggers by any means, but the videos and pictures they do have of their toddler son either obscure the face or the face is completely blurred to preserve his privacy.
@isitliv

same with norwegian couple julie and camilla, they aren't really family vloggers, but they're very private about their son, covering his face and not sharing his birthdate or his name.

Another channel, although it's not really a family channel, is one about a crunchy Mom and her little adventures. But everytime her kids are involved, they're always facing away from the camera so you can't see their face. Privacy is important, and I'm glad some people care to protect it.

i like kimono mom! she's a japanese youtuber who does cooking/travel videos with her daughter. her baby is very cute but i like that the baby isn't the focal point of the videos, the travel tips/recipes are. she isn't really a family vlogger, just thought that her channel was cute + wanted to share

as someone who knew an adult that acted like this as a kid, this is exactly how it starts. a cycle of something much worse. it's the funny jokes and the little secrets. but they do it in such a way that it doesn't bother anyone so much. and then anywhere else they act like they would never do such a thing. so if you see ADULTS acting similar to this in ANY way, do NOT let your kids around them. begging you. because once it starts it'll never stop, even if it does, it'll never leave your mind and body.

I think the store was a Spencer's which usually have clothes and accessories in the front of the store which means that he probably would've had to be near the back with the little girl to get her to see it, the employees shouldn't have sold it to them seeing how weird that grown man was acting.

When I was 8 my mom took me into a Spencer’s. This was soon after our family dog was put down. I saw one of those rainbow lollipops and started loudly telling my mom how much our dog would’ve loved it because I thought it was half a bone. My mom made me sit out on the bench outside of the store because she realized how inappropriate it was for me to be there and to talk about that stuff even without knowing what it was. It is so fucked up to take a small child in there knowing what the store is and then allowing them to get that and FILM THEM? Like I wouldn’t talk to my brother ever again if he did that to my child. I can’t believe those videos are still online tbh.

Thank you for this. For showing the many ways that predatory type people groom and gaslight to steal the innocence of the young right in front of our eyes. Sometimes people just don’t notice until the unthinkable happens and they’re sitting puzzled on why they didn’t see the signs. These are the signs.

can we normalize telling hair stylists they botched our hair? cause one time i told them to just give me a bit of a trim cause it was getting messy and i had about an inch above shoulder length hair and i wanted to keep growing it out and i nearly had a buzzcut, i got in the car with my grandpa we went home and i rushed to my room and cried for 20 minutes straight

Yes. It's literally their job. Tell them when your $50 haircut ruined your life... My sister was a stylist; and some of the girls at her shop did malicious "compliance" a lot. And we're vocal about how funny they thought it was. It's not being a Karen to speak up when someone used you... It's in HOW it's handled that matters.
