Austin Seven - Removing cylinder head studs

I don`t get it, what hold the socket firmly to the studs, or did I miss something ?

Hi Geoff, sorry to comment on an old video - do you use this same method to remove the studs on the block for the valve access cover? I can't see any other way to remove the block as these studs are positioned right above the nuts! Tom

Hello Tom, I put them up to help others and more than happy to answer any questions or receive any brick bats. Mine came out with ease as there is oil vapour in that recess when engine running so should soak into the threads. I would use the same process if they where tight.
