Austin Seven Ruby Sliding Roof Repair - Pytchly Sliding Roof

In this video we look at the restoration of an Austin Seven Ruby sliding roof or a Pytchly sliding roof. The Austin 7 sliding roof is not too difficult to repair if you have all of the pieces. Our Austin Seven restoration project seems to be mostly complete so we had most of the sliding roof components and have restored it to the best of our ability.
Many Austin Seven roofs have rotted over the years and many different repairs have been done. The wood can all be bought from Martin Prior in Hereford plus possibly some other suppliers. The metalwork can be reproduced if you know the dimensions.
We bought the vinyl covering, wadding, hessian and glue from Woolies trim via the internet. They were very helpful when we called them for advice on what we required.
