I’m more disappointed that they couldn’t put it aside enough for just one reunion before someone dies. I think that’s part of Austin’s regret here too. PR kept awkwardly coming back without their two main leads, one was always missing. Imagine if every SF game since SF2 had either Ken or Ryu missing for some bizarre reason.

Respect. It takes a lot to be willing to recognize and honor the passing of somebody you didn't get along with. To recognize that while the two of you didn't see eye to eye, JDF meant a lot to the fans and to the Power Ranger franchise. I wish JDF didn't end his life.

That's because Austin is a humble man, I have nothing against JDF (I was also hurt by his passing because, like Austin, I appreciated it) but unfortunately when he had the opportunity to speak badly of Austin he did it and worse, he did it seriously. But Austin never said anything against him and showed maturity like in the 2017 premiere and now with this video.

@@YTWarrior100 Austin did actually criticise JDF if you watch his interview on power rangers playback. And JDF tried to shut down rumours once that there was something bad between them in another interview I saw. So they weren't always consistent with how they approached that.

Sorry to hear that man. I'd buy you a drink if I could to help ease some of the pain. JDF was a big influence on a lot of us growing up. I'll never forget him for the role he played in my upbringing. I was 9 and needless to say that power rangers was a really big deal to me when the show first came out. Austin St. John and JDF were like the older brothers I never had, and though he's gone from us he will carry on forever in spirit so long as we honor and remember him. May you be blessed friend. Do take care.

@@scorpionwins6378 take care of yourself too 👍 and i know what you mean. bad things happened to me when i was a kid - but they happened to me after mmpr came out. my memories are a little muddled, but pop culture helps me pinpoint the before and afters, and this show sticks out as a reference point. i remember happily playing with friends and pretending to be a power ranger, wearing pink a lot, watching the show, and just being a little kid. sometimes, i think back to that time, and i've even gone back and flipped through some old clips. i can't bear to watch an entire episode, but it always makes me feel warm to remember a time of innocence, where things were safe. JDF's character was huge and a strong part of the shows success. Even in later years, he shows great enthusiasm for the fans, which is so admirable. and i hope @shugo362 has good birthdays still, even though something sad happened on the day (perhaps you remembering him will reach him some way in the spirit world, or whatever comes next❤🙏)

Sadly no, JDF literally was vocal of his dislike of ASJ. It was childish and even one time they appeared together with the actor that played Zack. JDF had even on camera confessed right there of himself being dumb and childish about the grudge and publicly "apologized" to ASJ. I was finally happy to see this, we would finally see them be what we wanted to see in real life as in the show. To see them really act as brothers, but it was all a front, JDF kept on bad mouthing ASJ online, really badly, with the latter staying quiet, but eventually ASJ started to respond back when ASJ started to have legal issues that are still to be resolved in court. JDF had increased his smearing of ASJ even harder and drawing more people in, like Steve Cardenas (the second Red Ranger, after Jason) I know that many people loved JDF, but the dude was a trouble maker even in the show, but also outside. He'd start beef with people for no reason, he even threatened Jean Claude Vandamme and it was caught in video as his wife was trying to defuse the issue. He always was acting like he had something to prove and though he'd try and send positive messages, most sounded narcissistic in nature. It's sad, because in his last videos, when he announced he was retiring and distancing himself from all things Power Rangers, he looked really beaten and destroyed. He was charismatic, but people gave him a full on pass to his negativity because he was their childhood hero. Like I said, it's really sad.

He was a narcissist and was probably bi polar a lot longer than he realized. He needed to be 1 and I think he felt somewhat threatened by ASJ being the OG leader that fans loved, despite being more popular than him. ASJ didn't need validation from strangers and JDF seemed to have a void of loneliness in his heart that fueled his irrational behavior despite how accomplished he was. He's definitely not the saint his idolaters paint him as and it's very telling how other castmates never had an issue with ASJ except for JDF. But JDF himself had a few fallouts and controversy with a few. Whatever the case, it's unfortunate his end was so tragic. If he really did take his life due to mental health issues, his idolaters are a big reason why it happened because they worshipped him so much to where he was afraid to seek help due to the fans finding out. Sad grown fans can't separate the art from the artist.

I'm appalled at all the people (Not in this video or video comment section) in other videos who have denounced ASJ for being "not genuine" in his feelings about this. It's not like he pretended they were best friends like some people have when they are the survivor after a feud between them and another popular actor in a franchise and the other passes. He made it clear "Everyone knows he and I weren't exactly beer drinking buddies." He and JDF both have stated in videos in the couple of years before his passing that they've since become amicable and whatever tension there was was stupid and under the bridge. Now, ASJ still maintains what JDF did at the time when he, Trang, and Jones left the franchise was messed up and wont sugarcoat that part of the history, and he never spoke about it until at least 2018-2019 while JDF had been bashing on him at random conventions for over a decade or more before that, but in the end, they I'm sure were at least at a positive mutual understanding in the last few years before his passing. Those coming after ASJ like morons are probalby sour JDF fanboys and girls who love to assume they know everything when they know nothing.

I'm sure he would have found common ground with actors like Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecchi. It's a pity his filmography is not so big, he could work with good and famous actors like Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Wesley Snipes, Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keithen, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Hayden Christensen, who is very well known to everyone in the role of Lord Vader/Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars
