Big shout out to my friend Nick Harrison for his quick pop in. If you're ever in the ATX head down towards the river and hot up Rainey Street. It's a Food and drink paradise hidden between the new riverside skyscrapers and the I35 Highway.

The little donuts were good. Probably would have been better when they were warm. Would have loved to try the tacos. Love tacos! Need to include Lady Bird Lake in another video. One of my favorite places to walk around their paths.

The brisket taco would've been right up your alley.

Love the food trucks! Looks like a paradise of food for sure! Love the Tex Mexican flavors! Seems like there were a ton of options. I don’t think I would be able to just spend one afternoon there. Grilled Cheese! Sausage and beer! Mini donuts! Thanks for a great share. I’m going to have a snack!

It's a multi day affair for sure lol. Ended up having to take a lot home since I had limited time and wanted to hit those 4 spots.

Great overview of street food options in Austin. Interesting video.
@AdventuresOfATravelingDon2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Remember that is just part of one street. Austin is a Food lovers paradise.
Loved the horses on streets, felt hungry by looking at the spicy food, the street name is perfect as it’s a Rainey food street 😋😋, thanks a lot for taking us there virtually

That was rather random when I saw the cops on horses. Didn't know they still did that in Austin. The food was sooo good.

Awesome video, Ben! So glad you made it down to Rainey Street, wish I was able to make it down there more often. Whenever anyone asks me about Rainey Street, I always mention Bangers, so cool you stopped by! Believe it or not, even though they are going for a Texas, "Beerhaus" vibe (which IS VERY Texan for the history of this part of the state), they are actually cranking out some damned good bbq for their dishes there as well!❤️🤠🤘

That grilled cheese, friend! I’m gonna have to figure out that sauce! Nice to sit by the lake and digest for sure!
@AdventuresOfATravelingDon2 жыл бұрын
It was so good. Not sure how they made it but, it's main components were balsamic, fig and apricot. So I guess work with that basis and experiment. Let me know if you get a good outcome.

Wow! That food tour looked amazing! And yes me and my husband both agree that there is always room for donuts at the end no matter how full we are. We would have tried all of those options - great selection. Haven't ever been to Texas so hopefully one day.

You've got to love southern food! It's such a unique combination of different cuisines and flavours! Seeing as I haven't had the chance to visit the US yet, Food from Texas is by far the most I'm looking forward to trying! Those little donuts look amazing, I could easily have 50! Oh my! This is amazing! Wedee's brother lives in Austin and this would be great for them to check out! How do you go about choosing which place to go? Personally love the donuts the best, but you can't go wrong chilling in the beer garden with some super tasty food! Bangers and mash looked fantastic! Thanks for showing us around!

Well it was made somewhat easy when only one of the food trucks in the yard was open that day. So that worked out well. As for the others they were Introduced to me by my friend Nick at the beginning of the video. If a high quality chef tells me to go to a place, I frigging go to that place post haste lol.

6.50 for a taco??? LOL nah
@AdventuresOfATravelingDon2 жыл бұрын
Oh I hear ya. Given the taco is the size of 2 traditional street tacos. Depending on where you get your tacos from that's not too far off the mark. At least for sit down places. Growing up near LA you used to get 4 or 5 tacos for 6.50$.
