@@tossedsalad5532 it’s very hard to find beef ribs in general, I feel like nobody makes them! But, years ago I worked in a steakhouse in Atlanta as a waitress where they had BBQ beef ribs. You could order them as is or they would pull the meat off and make a pulled beef rib sandwich. They were phenomenal and the best part was because I worked there I got one free meal a day when I had a shift. Ha, it was a great job!

I’m so glad you gave Franklin’s another chance. As a native Texan who loves BBQ, I’ve tried most of the top places in the state (and all the major BBQ states). No one does brisket like Texas (imo) and Franklin’s is the best of the best (imo). Glad you guys enjoyed Austin. One of my favorite cities in the world. Austin is a whole vibe.

Yes you two, this time of year the peacocks have mostly shed their feathers, but also there were several times that I think, based on the birds coloring you were seeing peahens, who never have the tail. And it made me laugh when you guys said how peaceful it was with them cause, yes, it can be, but peafowl aren't actually the most docile of birds in my experience. I lived near a bunch growing up and they can be territorial and mean too and since they aren't tiny its always a bird I was taught to always treat with respect and keep a little distance... :)

I went to Austin in July of this year and brought back 3 dozen of Round Rock Donuts to California. Just too good…. We used to go and watch the bats downtown-their also in a lot of overpasses as well. Juan in million is fantastic-I miss Austin-so much going on!

Great video. There are actually two Colorado rivers in the US. The one you were on flows solely in Texas. The other one is the one that starts in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado and ends in the Gulf of California in Mexico. That BBQ and tacos look so yummy!

Austin native, born and raised here. Great video. Yes, RR Donuts are the bomb! Terry Black's is good, but $34.95/lb for the beef ribs is super expensive! Next time you come to Austin, try County Line on the Hill and get their Rib King platter. It's at least 7 big beef ribs and 2 sides for $35.99. That's what I get, and I eat ribs for several days. 😊

Next time you are in Austin you should try Louie Mueller's BBQ in Taylor, TX not far from Round Rock where you had donuts. I would highly recommend it! Get there early they get a huge line, and when they run out they run out!

Texas size edition! Think most of the birds are peahens because they don't have the colorful feathers. You two look great dancing together at Broken Spoke. Worked in Round Rock in 2007. Would get RR Donuts every friday. So good but back then you could walk in or drive thru to buy them. Guess since COVID they changed it to walk-up window and drive thru only. Surprised you didn't get the Texas sized glazed donut. Have only been to Juan in a Million once and it was so good. Had the Juan in a Million taco breakfast too. They had outdoor seating back then as well. Terry Blacks BBQ looks so good think I'll get some BBQ for lunch today. Made me hungry. Glad you had a great time in Austin!

I went to Texas like 10 years ago, and had bbq at this place called hard 8. I ordered a ton of everything and it was outstanding and cheap. I think it was under 40 bucks and my tray was full of meat. Surprised that’s all you get for 100 bucks now :( looks yummy tho

Why is there no line at Terry Black's? We went to the newly opened location in Waco back in May with a short line and the food was phenomenal! It is just as good or better than some of the places with long lines. Envious that you saw the bats as we went to the bridge for 2 nights and didn't see any. You're right, your short visit looked like it was a "best day ever!" Looking forward to your upcoming Hawaii video.
