Hey Austin, have you listen or read the book profit first ? If you haven’t read it it’s really good it shows you how to manage your business setting up different accounts in your bank. You can have a profit account, tax account, income account, owners pay account and expense account. If you haven’t done that you should try it. It really lets you organize your business

Thank you for the real world experience you always provide with nothing to sell.. no training courses, custom skids, etc. Just a real dude running a real business giving real advice. You've encouraged me to start and I just ordered a trailer, filed for my LLC, and had my logo work done. Now just debating on what equipment I should buy since this will be part time, 2 days a week for me to replace my wife's income since she'll be staying home with our new baby soon. Thanks again brother

So I'm doing this on the side as well. Picked up a few good jobs in the last week. I had a trailer already (4'x6') I fixed it up. Got a 4gpm machine, a surface cleaner, a hose reel, 200ft of hose, ball valve, and some fittings and nozzles. I can't imagine starting this with any less than a 4gpm rig

Would love to see what you did before PW. Next time the water issue happens, walk over to the neighbors and offer them $20 for use of their water, (even though it only uses less than a dollars worth for washing an entire job) and they most likely will let you do it. No revenue lost. Have a great day.

Also I’m in Fort Worth Texas…..what is the typical price you charge for driveways by themselves and how long do you estimate that normally takes to complete? I realize much bigger driveways equal more work and time, but I’m just asking on average? Thanks again buddy! Congrats on your success!

You should figure the web ins and marketing by number of days you work. Heck you figure a month at 4.3 weeks for a reason. So I would do it by anticipation of days worked what ever the number. Oh that fire was well over a year ago so the sh problem is manufactured we didn't have this problem last year. I was expecting a spike in price last year that never happened.

Awesome break down brother. I have been running construction businesses for a long time and have never thought about putting together a pressure washing business until the past few weeks. Got all of the essentials today to pressure wash my fence and driveway for "before and after" photos and going to open a DBA under my LLC to start this venture full time as business has been dying off lately and frankly, construction is too much headache dealing with clients for weeks to even months at a time! lol. Any suggestions on marketing when starting out in this industry aside from "facebook friends" and craigslist?

How do you leave the job site after leaving a strong post-treatment on the ground? That seems like a huge liability risk, leaving strong chem down. What if the neighbor's kid came over and fell in the driveway, or the homeowner wasn't home for you to tell them not to let pets on it? Or someone drives home from work, steps in it, and tracks it in the house, ruining their flooring? How long until it is safe for pets/kids/anyone to be on the driveway?
