@@Lake2Bay My 2500 isn't silent when you reel it quickly. Reel it slower and it's almost quiet, but you can still kind of "hear" it if your rabbit-eared. Is that the way it is supposed to be or should be silent? It doesn't feel smooth either when you reel it, but I fig it's a $20 reel so don't expect it to be.

Hi, good video. Random question do have any suggestions for catching snook by a dock light?
@Lake2Bay2 жыл бұрын
Trying using live baits on the dock lights it’s usually a guaranteed eat. A lot of time I will use jumbo live shrimp with no weight and free line it. Snook usually fall for it. Finger mullets also always get snook to eat on those lights.

@@kenaaronbabbit9987 very true, I tried this once fishing in the Florida keys and Naples. They would get excited by the clashing of the cork. Although, the finger mullets on the surface would get hit the quickest!

@Lake2Bay2 жыл бұрын
Always go with lighter braid line. Lighter braid will cast further and is also more durable. Try using 12lb braid for most of your inshore fishing. Remember fishing for larger fish in tighter areas, you should use a higher pound braid.
@Lake2Bay2 жыл бұрын
More durable than equivalent monofilament line. Braid will provide more forgiveness on large fish I find.

I bought this to replace my Ugly Stick GX2... That thing was a piece of junk. No matter how hard I pushed the rods together, it would still fly apart when I cast it. Brand new too.. Sure I could have glued it or taped it together but who wants to do that to a brand new fishing pole? It's possible I just got a defective one... I got the Shimano FX ultra light model which is what I needed for the pond in my neighborhood.
