@@WhereWeWild Dude I have issues, in the last 3 months I’ve purchased the Sierra 2500, Sedona 4000 Fi, Sedona 2500 FJ, and the Nasci 3000. Trying them all to see what’s going to work better for the kids, my wife, and I here on the Gulf of Mexico. Generally speaking we’re targeting Red Drum.

Personally I’d recommend the Vanford. It’s on the high end in feel without it costing 500 plus dollars. 🤙🏽

@ your last recommendation Vanguard. Largemouth bass. I like stronger line. There are monster bass in the tank we fish. Up to 14 lbs. I’ve broken off before.

I meant like size 2500, 3000, 4000… But dang! 14lb bass where you at Texas!? 😃 But yeah man personally if it were me, throwing say a Vanford 3000, also depending on what types of baits I’m trying to throw on it I’d go 20lb braid to a 10-15lb clear leader. Could go 30lb braid if you want since braid has the thinner diameter. But I’d save my heavier line for my casting reel techniques. My Vanford is mostly used for finesse where I’m using 15-20lb braid to 8-10lb mono or fluoro leader.

I’m going to have to add it to my wish list! 😎🤙🏽 Specs wise almost the exact same as the Miravel if I’m not mistaken, Miravel is just a little bit lighter and a little bit cheaper haha so I went with that one. But they’re all so awesome and fun in their own ways, I always want them all! 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

@@WhereWeWild actually, ultegra is closer to vanford than to Miravel, which is closer to nasci. Ultegra has the longer casting spool and the worm gear for slower, more level winding of the line onto the spool

Oh for sure it’s the more expensive reel so you definitely get a little more tech on it like the x protect and the long stroke spool for the extra $30. 🤙🏽 I just mean they have very similar specs with the same amount of bearings, same max drag… so for me anyway for the lower price and the lighter weight it was just the one I decided to go with in that range. 🤷🏻‍♂️😊 I’ll definitely be getting an Ultegra as well I’m sure. 👊🏽😂

@WhereWeWild Ultegra is a win over Miravel. Oscillation worm gives better line lay which equals better casting and no wind knots from braid biting into itself on the spool. The only advantage Miravel has is its maglite rotor. The next model of Ultegra will definitely have this rotor along with further improvements.
