I bought this myself, and it's previous iteration. I live in, essentially, a studio apartment. So our work desks and the bed are only separated by about 6 feet. Given that the overlapping time zones with my gaming buddies is after 10PM where I'm at, this mask has saved my wife from waking up to us sharing info and plans while playing games like Monster Hunter World or DRG. It is a VERY specific market product, but it does it's job well. And considering we are planning to move to Japan next year, this may save us from some angry neighbors (as your mention about thin walls will become very relatable).

The tiny increase in performance was noticeable in regular use for the "little" features - like blurring - or otherwise customizing the background during a Zoom meeting - couldn't be done on the 2200U.
