i have a 27 inch monitor at 1080p and it looks very good. So any smartphone at 1080p have no problem at all. So I believe 1440p vs 1080p difference on a smartphone is so hard to see

This is what I consider UNFAIR from most KZbin reviewers. The faults in a big brand's phone will be given a pass just because 1) you like them and 2) they have one or two features that you really love. Here's what's wrong with this video. 1. He just completely tries to underrate the design of LG G6 by calling it boxy and flat. Oh what? I find it hard to hold S8 because I just can't figure out where you will hold it from. It's like you will always be in a very uncomfortable position while holding this phone. So an ERGONOMIC design from LG gets bashed just because it does not have the BLING of the S8 design. 2. Camera comparison was really REALLY biased. We can see that there was not MUCH different in pictures taken from both phones. But he just completely bashes LG's camera for oversaturation where we all know that Samsung is known for oversaturation and overwarming the pictures when compared to iPhones. But whenever you are comparing YOUR FAVORITE brand with your less favorite brand, you will ignore the faults of your favorite brand and overly highlight them in your less favorite brand's phone. I really did not see much different in the pictures taken from both phones. At least it was not as big as he tried to make it. 3. Never talks about BATTERY since the G6 has a bigger battery. Now, Samsung fanboys should NOT EVEN DARE come and say, "but that's on paper, S8 will still give you more battery timing due to its optimization". Why I say that? Because you are the same people who bash iPhones for being 3 years old due to its on-paper specifications but NEVER admit its better performance even after watching hundreds of videos in which iPhone completely destroys Samsung in almost every aspect. Oh no! At that time, it's the specs on the paper that matter right? 4. I know I am just assuming and making a hypothetical statement but humans do that and they are not always wrong. So, the placement of the fingerprint sensor? Samsung got that "not the best location for a fingerprint sensor" for putting it in an odd place. On the other hand, he or any other reviewer would have completely DESTROYED LG for doing such a thing. And you name the video "Can this phone beat the Galaxy S8?" Really? So the G6 is not worthwhile enough to be even called with its name? Infinity display? Sucks ass when you are watching something in landscape mode and those curved edges reflect light like fucking laser lights in your eyes. It's a bad video watching experience and you know it, BUT YOU WILL NOT ADMIT IT. My rant is over. The gist of all I said was NOT hating Samsung phones or S8. The main stress was to tell the reviewers that they overly criticize their less favorite phones against their more favorite phones and go to the extent of unfair and unjustified criticism e.g. this video.

I have a condition that makes my hands shake, it makes using most cameras an exercise in patience. I end up taking 20 shots and if I'm lucky one will be clear. I bought the S7 when it came out and that camera! For the first time ever, I've been able to pull out my phone, take a picture and know the first shot will be clear and stable 99% of the time. That is a huge change for me regardless of image quality etc.

You can manually adjust your camera saturation, focus, and other things on the LG G6 camera. You should have pointed that out so people can simply adjust any issues they find with the camera. S8 and G6 both have great cameras but I don't believe S8 has a manual camera adjustment option(correct me if I'm wrong).

It is amazing how misleading a big KZbinr like yourself can be. 1. You used one of the latest buzz words HDR mentioned for the G6, without mentioning the S8 supports HDR 10, and is the first and only device that is certified as HDR premium under the HDR Mobile Alliance. 2. The S8 uses a different sensor than the S7, albeit the specs may be similar. This is the reason I plan to start my own channel.

I'm really not excited for this year's smartphone lineup. I'm just going to keep my S7 for the rest of this year at least. I'm also really not a fan of on-screen buttons. I like the S7's physical home button and capacitive buttons on either side of it. I know that having the buttons on-screen (especially on a screen that big) is basically the same thing as having capacitive buttons below the screen; I just am not a fan of it.

I think what most tech reviewers lacked in their reviews are audio test, specifically microphone quality. Try record some videos in a loud environment(concert, pub) or having someone to play the drums should be a good test on the microphones. I'm a musician and I find HTC's and Lumia's are superior in this area. Cheers! :)

Maybe you do but you can get a huge 10-30% increase in system on time by lowering the resolution, especially in gaming and you can get higher fps, at least that's what I've read from people who have rooted their phones and done it on their devices, I haven't done it myself because it can screw up how apps are displayed, so I'm curious how LG fixed that.

I really liked the LG G3 when it came out, the Sony Z3 got my business instead because of the waterproofing. I have since forgotten the LG phones, they seem a step behind recently. 2017 brings great devices such as the Samsung S8, Sony XZ Premium and google pixel. I'd be trawling in those waters come time to fish.

The G6 has the more solid design honestly. The S8 seems very slippery. Also the S8 is REALLY expensive, the G6 is cheaper. I'll be waiting for the next iPhone anyways, but Android wise I'd prefer the G6. The more to the ground design, the dual camera etc. are all pluses to me. Will the software tweaks to the camera on the S8 come over to the S7 series? I don't see any reason why they should not since it has the same camera hardware, but the S8 is obviously more powerful than the S7s.

I'm not a Samsung fanboy but every time someone says the s8 has the same sensor it gets me a bit frustrated. Other than that Nice review good comparison calling out both phones on each advantage I widely agree with a lot. All we need to do is combine both of them and then you have the best of everything

I used to have an LG G6. The camera was so bad it was basically unusable. LG refused to fix it for me so I destroyed my LG G6 by throwing it at a utility pole.

Have they developed a screen that only reacts to fingers or a stylus instead of water too. When it rains too much on the screen the phone starts a seizure. How to fix this problem???
