Correct me if im wrong, but they put out those warnings for brightness before the whole note incident. It's not a lack of confidence, its a genuine warning because people like better battery life, and it also warns you that is can cause eye strain.

IlIlI too much bright and too low bright is not good for the eyes. Straining your eyes with too low bright is not also good because you are trying to see the text on your phone even it is really hard to see. Anything too much is not always good :)

OP is obviously very biased towards the S8, S8 provides that option to push for maximized customization and truly personalize your own device. Whats wrong with that? it gives new benchmark device users an idea on how their phone operates. Some users may not even know that turning on brightness on max could effect their battery life, educating them by displaying a simple warning is just a friendly reminder and could be educational to most minorities. what the fuck is this guy complaining about? Any small innovation is still an innovation, isn't that what android is all about? at least its better than apple marketing outdated technology. and yes, with new technology, comes with high price. Is not for everybody, but it sure is better than buying an iphone for around the same price.

As most people know the brighter the display the more batter power you use therefore you will need to charge it more often. You technically would be reducing the actual battery lifespan but not the phone itself. Batteries are cheap compared to the cost of a new S8.

this is my input on the screen resolution(Please don't be offended ) I think that it should be released at fhd because most people that buy phones are mainly for work so they want best battery life it's all for daily use last through the whole day but most people won't know unless your a geek about phones and watch videos on it then u can change it if putting it up helps you out more. but for the people that don't know they will complain about battery life and not know that u can change it down to save even more battery that's why I think they have it released like that

Well, how about this novel idea... being that it's a "smart phone", it could have been programmed by those brainiacs at Samsung with an optional feature to "auto-friggin-dymamically" adjust its resolution on the fly based on certain woodoo-magic parameters. In simpler terms, to be able to adjust its resolution on the fly possibly per app based on the screen usage/demand parameters set by the user. Such a weird title, Does it suck? That title would make sense if the Galaxy S8 had been getting critical reviews. Take for instance Mass effect Andromeda, which had been receiving many critical reviews. It would make sense to have a title called "Mass effect Andromeda does it suck?" Since most people are probably asking that exact question. However when you have an smartphone which has been the top android device(revenue wise) for years, it just seems odd to have that as a title. It's like saying "The iPhone 8(or 10 whatever)how bad is it?"

S7 had imx260 the s8 is the imx333 other then that Bluetooth​ got upgraded to 5.0 first phone with that, the Snapdragon chip was upgraded to 8835 first phone with that, the front camera was upgraded to 8mp ,the image processing was upgraded, the chasis of the phone is upgrade and more polished ,the USB connection was upgraded to type C , the screen size was upgraded, touchwiz was upgraded and more like the pixel ,,iris and facial recognition was added ,bixby was added, the Dex pc experience was added ,the headphones are akg headphones ,the screen resolution was bumped up to QHD+, and a few more things but I'm tired of typing lol 😂

Thanks for the video I'm planning on buying it tomorrow because my galaxy s7 is battery damaged. A lot of what you mentioned is something that happens with the s7, blue light (good for night time, studies show that the light can delay melatonin release by 90 minutes, bl helps), the brightness warning and performance mode as well. The only drawback I've heard so far about the 18.9 aspect is the video black bars. Seems trivial considering the many added benefits. Plus it's not a shortcoming of the hardware just a discrepancy in media formats. There was a time when 16.9 was new. Bummed they didn't add a second speaker tho.

Phreshmints I've never actually had lag on an android phone when it came to KZbin. even on 720. It could just be the Wi-Fi connection moreso than the actual phone. With a VPN I get no lag and without a super fast VPN I still have not experienced any lag. only lag I've seen is usually on weekends in the early evenings. That's mainly due to the wi-fi router competes with other routers for bandwidth. Which happens in areas where everyone is using Wi-Fi

Before making a review video, maybe you should be more knowledgeable on the topic. For instance, 80% of your video was software features which are already present in the S7 and S7 Edge due to the Nougat update; i.e. WQHD, Performance mode, +10% brightness, Screen filter, etc. Although you did mention some hardware components which is fine. Next time, try to focus your review more on things such as performance, hardware, camera and actual daily usage results such as battery, temperature and the alike.

A few questions from a current Apple user (who's never used any other platform) looking to switch: 1. I hate how in my music app if I close out the app it doesn't remember where I left off in a song or on a playlist. On the S8, if I close out the app, will the banner still be at the bottom, and will it remember what song I was playing? 2. I record music on my voice recorder app currently, and used to be able to add those songs into my music library. Now that I have Apple Music, it decides what music I can put in my library and what I don't if I have the iCloud Music option on. If I used a voice recorder app, could I add that in as a music file and listen to it like any other song? 3. Are there any apps that would allow you to add music that you have purchased in the past (my normal library), and stream music to download, all in the same app? That was my draw to using Apple Music before, as opposed to Spotify. I wanted to be able to listen to all of my music in the same app instead of switching back and forth from my library (purchased music) and streaming music.
