I love your approach to this one, making use of as many existing features as you can and focusing the budget on most-needed upgrades. Kudos for keeping the kitchen cabinets, tub, and existing green accent tile. All the color choices are A-1; my only caveat is that the dark green main bathroom tiles sit awkwardly beside the dark gray floors. Otherwise: love!

Overall, it’s a great reno. I just feel that you missed a great opportunity in the kitchen. A bigger island - longer with seating - would have filled some of that dead space and given the kitchen better function. Green cabinets are a bold choice….especially when they are that dark. Maybe a sage or olive color would have been more appealing. But love that you repurposed the existing cabinets - less for the landfill!! As always, you did a great job!

I love this reno. The house was nice to begin with except for the foundation issues. But I feel like it was not over designed ad some tend to do with larger spaces where you can afford the square footage to do built ins or murals or other fancy wall papers. The green and beige combo is a classic favorite of mine and the bathroom tile is a nice shade that had that olive undertone that hits a bit different.

I know you had budget constraints but definitely should’ve changed the faucets on the tub in the main bathroom to match the sink and shower fixtures and all of the white grout on the black tiles is a no for me but overall it was a nice job working with what you had.

Just my opinion if I'm buying a new home I would hate those colors of green because then you have to make all your decor around that I like white gray and black that way I could choose any style when it comes to design

I think you should have went with the hunter green tile in the bathroom, cohesive design…. I do like the way you did the tile, just not the color. Actually went better with the original 90’s house. All in all, good job.😊

@lynnharrell95985 сағат бұрын
@@darealmicah7525 , I know what refaced means. But refacing them would be added cost, plus they would still have to be painted. That would be an unnecessary expense with no financial gain.
@darealmicah75254 сағат бұрын
@@lynnharrell9598 nah to be honest if they say new doors on the cabinets someone would pay a premium for the home not to mention it costs like 3-5k max. I’d pay 10k more for the house personally. At the very least they should have refaced the upper cabinets with regular raised panel. But yeah they were on a budget.
