Don't do this drill too much or it could make your arm move more towards a 90 degree angle which isn't good for when ur shooting standing up you should sit on a chair and shoot as if there is a rim and it will spin back to u

Yikes, you don’t wanna put your hands like that when you shoot it makes you inaccurate and you’ll get swatted, watch a female form video. You’re not gonna or not should you have the same release as a men’s basketball player, fix the set first cause that’s what’s wrong with yours from what I can see, you’re also not gonna be able to get that much power on your shot

I have a thumb flick on my shot and its difficult to get rid of because I've been shooting like that for a while any advice to fix it or if I should? My shot is still straight most of the time but I've been wondering if i'd made more shots if I didn't have a thumb flick

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. If you are a good shooter, then you don’t need to. If you aren’t the best and you are inconsistent, try to fix it. I recommend one hand shooting and progressively add your guide hand on the side. Start close, then once you understand your mechanism and fundamentals, move back to the free throw line, and then progressively work on distance and really get your legs into it and have a 1 motion shot.

You have to pick one you are ethier a index finger shooter, middle finger shooter or split finger shooter which mean you shoot with both middle and index finger

But it doesn't matter what finger shooter you are chose what your comfortable with. I did the same thing before i was a index finger shooter then tried to be a middle finger then ended up split but rn im a middle finger shooter but i recommend just sticking to what you are to find your jumpshot faster cuz mine jumpshot took 2 years to find

The drill laying down and shooting is bad cause you're shooting "flat", indeed you're not having a 45° or so but like a 10°

I’m whatever that word is cuz i can shoot with my left cuz I’m left handed and I shoot with my right hand on the regular. But I layup with my left hand also.

@@yvngjah that's pretty cool it usually takes people a lot of practice to shoot with both hands not many people can do it automatically i mean i sprained my right arm in grade 9 while on an excursion so i started trying to shoot with my left
