The South-Eastern states in Australia needs a gas reserve with a locked price of $3 a gigajoule, like in WA. It will fix the gas shortage (No real shortage), gas price and electricity price. It will also prevent some of the manufacturing industry still left here from leaving. The electricity price is affected by the gas market spot price; With a set price 400-500% cheaper and reserved supply prices will be where they should be for gas and the price will be stable for both electricity and gas. What is happening with the gas is where the focus should be, it's criminal.

Hi, Folks. Stop importing oil????????????????????????? As I understand it, pretty much Australian oil sources are lighter types. So just where are we then gonna get the heavier crude oils that are needed for lubricating oils and greases - - - or the even heavier oils that are needed for making asphalt for roads, airports, etc.? A kew-ree-yuss mind would like to know. Just my 0.02. You all have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

After watching this I had a unicorn visit me… seriously… China is not 15 years ahead of anyone. It’s cheap to make things in China because there are almost no environmental controls, no cultural controls and very few IR issues. In Australia it’s the complete opposite, labour is expensive, labour is not productive, most highly regulated environmental controls and then we have cultural issues.

I have priced battery power and if it saved me money I would have bought it. It doesn’t add up yet. I have the largest PV system on my roof that I’m allowed to have and regardless of the size of the battery I would never be self-sufficient unless I have more solar.

This guy is delusional. I live in Melbourne where we really only have decent sunshine for about 6 months of the year. I have solar panels on my roof that would be lucky to general 4-5 kw/hr of energy per day at this time of year. Barely enough power to run my fridge. How the hell are we going to have enough batteries and renewable energy to power industry along with electrification of our vehicle fleet?
