The one track that my Wife & i enjoyed the most was the canning stock route, we did it on our own had no problems and we just loved it, have done a lot of tracks but that’s still our favourite

Regarding your video this was a fun track but like many others we are trying to gate it off. The old rail tunnels for the Stockrington mine McBrides Beach was another. But they have taken away access to that also. Great video by the way enjoyed it. Any recommendations for tracks in the Highcountry? Would love to take the family there and go for a swim in one of the rivers and see the 360° views

Love the fact that you're discussing the difference between touring and 4WD wheeling and how they combine. Was recently in Cameron Corner and loved the remoteness. For me, the purpose of my 4WD is to get to the destination, and over or through any obstacle in front of it - but doing tracks for the sake of doing tracks? Yeah... nah. I'll save my vehicle and its parts to get me somewhere else. Looking forward to the Vic High Country and the Simpson next year. Enjoying the last few eps - great content.

Touring lifestyle 👌 having a vehicle that’ll get you through what you need to get to the destination which includes if on that route you need to take an adventurous route which offers unique scenery that only can be seen and experienced by 4WD. I am very surprised you haven’t done blue rag rod mate. 😮 especially given your a Victorian !

Great vid guys. I haven't ventured out of Vic much in my 4wd, but love some of the High Country tracks like Craigs Hut over Mt Stirling. Another is camping in Buckland Valley then over Tea Tree Range to Talbotville/Dargo. Blue Rag, which you mentioned, also Buffalo Range Track and Wild Horse Gap track are great. Hoping to do Tom Groggin over Mt Pinnabar/Gibbo to Omeo after Christmas.

When doing the 'Old Coach Road' or the 'Old Telegraph track, call into Mt. Carbine Pub and see my mate Dale. Great photos of crocs and I still wonder why anyone swims in NQ.

Awesome video. You'd both be welcome across the pond in NZ. Each island is different in the scenery. I'm from Auckland and would love to do some of the tracks here. There's Thompson's Track, 42nd Traverse. Around the Wellington, Wairarapa area has some amazing tracks. But the jewel would have to be the South Island. Just stunning scenery. Would love to see you both over here.n

G'day guys. I once did a droving trip from Soudan in the NT through Urandangi in Queensland and as far south as the Linda Downs front gate. The term droving is correct. I think it would make an excellent 4wd trip.

I'd love to do Climies Track and Balfours Track on the west coast of Tassie. I was there about 5 years ago in a 2003 Pajero that was not set up for that type of traveling so I gave them a miss. I'd be great to do them in a more capable vehicle.

Not sure about needing double lockers to get back up to Blue Rag from the river- I've done it in a Monterey with just a 40mm lift and all terrains - no locker.

@ninjabreadman7332 жыл бұрын
Of topic but question rocket. Would you recommend installing the nomad upgrade before taking it for a retune at ult diesel.
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a far safer to fit the heavy duty valve body first so it can protect the transmission during tuning etc.

@@WholesaleAutomatics thanks for that mate. Do you have a go to spot Sunshine Coast area for installation of the nomad or just a lucky dip on Trans shop

Completely off topic, but I don’t know who else to pitch it to. Having spent 3 weeks researching winches in the $1000-$1200, 12,000lb category, I reckon there’s a desperate need for someone to take say 4 or 5 of the top contenders and seriously test them. Trouble who is out there that isn’t in bed with one of the major suppliers?
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
I would have thought there would be something like this out there already?
@MrPhils19582 жыл бұрын
@@WholesaleAutomatics nothing recent that I can find, and so many 4wd shows have affiliations with brands, it’s hard to feel you’re getting an honest appraisal. Eg 4wd 24/7 are big on Runva, and Runva might be great, but 2 years ago, the boys were telling us the Dominator was the ducks nuts. I’ve done a comprehensive spread sheet looking at warranty differences, ingress protection ratings, line speed, gear reduction, horse power, but at the end of it I have no real idea which winch is better. Whose claims are real? Whose are fake?
@einfelder82622 жыл бұрын
@@MrPhils1958 There are no guarantees in life. Choosing a bad winch is much less disastrous than choosing a bad wife........ I bought a cheap TigerZ11 winch years ago, dunked it through multiple mudholes and replaced the rope a few times after wearing it out, and the winch didn't have a drop of water in it, and worked perfectly. A friend had a Warn 3 times the price and it kept ingesting water on the same trips. Pretty much all the KZbin and TV creators are in bed with whoever comes along this week with the free stuff.
