This is incorrect The biggest banks are Commonwealth, Westpac, Nab, ANZ In that order Macquarie is a more of a private business bank They have a small portfolio comparatively I’m a former banker Cheers

Also we have an ex American twitter employee that in charge of getting everything banned re the double tap, politics, banking. Compare her actions to 1938 Goebbels There’s a banking tie in there as well.

The cheque book has been fazed out because they don't want paper trails. It's easier to control electronic (fake) money transfers because electronic records can be altered.

G'day Mike. Love your show and have been listening to you for years. In regards to Macquarie, they were a Commercial Bank (so, big loans to large corporations that didnt require cash) that moved into Retail banking about 20 years ago (so, deposits, home loans, superannuation etc), which required a branch network, cash etc. They are not a big loss in the Retail banking space, but I am sure that the othe major banks in Australia are loong on to see if their is much customer push back - so that they can do the same. Sen M.Roberts of O.N. criticised the majors for closing a significant number of branches over the last few years, basically forcing people to go digital and then used this data to justify the closing of branches. The Digital ID bill will shortly be passes in parliament (this is necessary for the next phase - the CBDC which the Reserve Bank of Australia RBA has ready to go).
