That place is so scary. My dad knew the guy who worked in the boiler room and he used to take me with him when visiting his friend there. It would freak me out. I was only 8 years old and back then the patients were able to wander around the property unattended. They would come to the boiler room and just stand in the doorway watching us and freaking the crap out of me. That place is no doubt one of Australia’s most haunted. The vibe there is one that’s hard to forget. I’m looking forward to watching this episode.❤

I’ve done a tour of Beechworth twice. The first time was well over 10years ago now. The second time I even stayed over night in the old nurses building which at the time was turned into accommodation (not sure if it’s still like that) When I booked our first tour the lady on the phone said “I have a good vibe about you. I’m going to close this booking off just for your group (7 of us. Mum, sisters and partners) On that tour we experienced so much stuff. Our guide kept referring to my sister and I as her “sensitives” which at the time we didn’t know who she was referring to. We were in the hospital and back then they had portable body chillers that were in the main room which in this Amy’s investigation now has beds set up. Our guide was telling us the history of the building when my older sister started to freak out. She was pointing a door way and started asking repeatedly “WHAT THE F*** IS THAT?” None of us could what she was referring to. We kept asking her “what do you see?” She later described someone that looked like someone that our tour guide knew. It was a family member of hers (from memory I think it was her uncle) who was actually a patient at Beechworth Asylum and has been seen my many other visitors. She said he’s harmless but his appearance can be confronting to some. In the men’s criminally insane area, we got some tap and response in Ted’s cell and soon leaving his cell, again my sister got her bottom pinched. When visiting the bull pit we weren’t allowed upstairs but we were warned about potential odours due to laxatives being used as treatment. I couldn’t smell anything however my mum and my partner at the time had to leave. They said they couldn’t breathe due to the pungent smell of poo. Again some of us couldn’t smell a thing. After leaving the bull pit we continued on our tour to a number of buildings and the K2meter I was holding would continue to go off. Even flashing solid red at times when asking yes or no questions. At one point (I think we were in the laundry) our guide asked if it’s the same spirit following me (Owen) all evening (flashed to red) she then asked “do you like Owen?” Again it flashed to red. She said “you can spend time with us, but do you understand you can not follow Owen home?” It again flashed to red. After the tour I have this feeling that the spirit from the bull pit didn’t understand it couldn’t follow me home. For a good few weeks after leaving Beechworth asylum I feel into a deep state of depression. Was constantly sad and just felt like I didn’t want to me in Melbourne anymore which was strange because I love where I live. I had this strange feeling that I wanted to move to Beechworth (I didn’t) and thought it would make me happy. I have this feeling that this spirit had a major play on my mood and how I was feeling. It was really really strange. Beechworth Asylum really is a cooking pot full of energy and activity.

I’ve been waiting for this! I went in 2011 and in the men’s criminally insane ward my very long hair got lifted right up off my back. Multiple people saw and a woman screamed. I felt so cold and goosebumpy. Then my lantern flicked on and off at least 30 times! The lady running the tour froze and walked over to me. I tried to hand it off to her then my husband but we couldn’t get it out of my hand. I was so freaked out! Felt so cold & sick after that!

From Indiana (yes the state in the US) - I would LOVE to see you guys investigate Central State Hospital (Asylum) or somewhere like maybe French Lick/West Baden hotels. Wish I knew how to contact the owners of these places - French Lick especially deserves some kind of investigation by y’all as there are all these stories but nothing concrete! Central State obviously doesn’t have its big patient building anymore but a rather sensitive friend of mine (I say rather sensitive because I’m somewhat sensitive myself - she is more so than I am) visited the medical museum there recently and distinctly told me she felt things throughout - sadness in the operation room where former patients’ brains are stored, overwhelming sadness/anger in the back of the building which is next to a building where bodies are said to have been stored in large numbers…oh, and she felt somewhat ill and just…dark near the old Power Plant (I had told her it was an activity epicenter but not that said activity is said to be demonic, so this was rather terrifying to hear about). I know it’s hard to travel all the way from Australia but if you’re ever traveling again please do stop by my home state, we have a whole lot of ghost stories that deserve investigation! (And anywhere you investigate you’ll get a crowd of we Hoosiers who can’t get much honest investigation of these stories from anywhere else) And what with Amy especially being sensitive herself you’d definitely see some great results I bet. The screeching noise around 39:00 sounded like metal clanking against something or like a piece of equipment going off or something ! Super weird. Lots of super weird taps and stuff around. Some responses on equipment but the sounds have been really odd and the feeling and seeing you guys vibing differently idk def seems like something is going on there. Maybe it’s not as in your face on video I can still feel the vibe of the place. That first Estes method was pretty crazy for sure. Seems like one of those places that the more you go the more it opens up to you but I wonder if the sounds you are hearing are ways some of the patients would be able to communicate or maybe the way the one spirit you were talking to communicates!! Either way this has been a super interesting investigation and that building is absolutely massive and structurally outside is quite a site to see!! Thanks to you guys for all of your hard work! I really appreciate the passion you put into ghost hunting !! Can’t wait to see next weeks and also hope whatever stress you’ve been going through subsides soon ! ❤

I found it interesting that what qualified for being put in an asylum there is virtually the same as what it was here. Things like post partem depression, epilepsy, etc. Also, I felt like the woman in the dress that came across SEER at the 36 or 37 minute mark was very relevant in that it was representing how they would probably have been dressed at the time. The glass sound @ 30:18 was more high pitched than a window pane. It was some sort of container such as a glass, jar, bottle, or something of that sort. It sounded like what would happen if you took a pencil and struck one of them or even the sound that cheers makes when you clink glasses. Something of that nature.

Most definitely. We had a fair amount of rem pod activity in both the morgue and the Bull Pit upstairs hallway. Very creepy place that we hope to get back to in the next couple of months. There is so much to explore ❤❤ That first seer image of the odd looking lady with weird hands, I saw a nurse. Possibly the perception of a heavily drugged patient?
