India produced a slow wicket which actually misfired. Australians had a trick up their sleeve and used it to their advantage. Bowled very intelligently and fielded brilliantly. They used the short ball very decisively to choke the Indian batting. India had a set plan had not thought of other plans if things didn't go their way. They were predictable. Australia knew exactly what India would be doing.

India was not destined this time despite all the above statistics and consistency. But, we also need to reflect on the past. In 1983, we did not deserve that victory against a mighty west indies team. But, then, victory on one day is not a measure of your worth. The game is like that. Once we appreciate this balance, we can accept victory or loss with perfect equanimity. My sense of regret is, we didn't make it difficult for Aussies to earn the win. If we had lost after scoring 300+ runs, there would have been a better appreciation for Aussies. Yet, they proved their big match temperament on a day that mattered.

Aus outclassed Top Pakistan side in 99 World who were so very favourite to win World cup, in 2007 World cup they defeated experienced SL ,they then defeated Invincible Nzl in 2015 Final ,and again they just out performed India who was on a 10 straight win streak in 2023 Final. Thats why They are so feared side ,so common factor in these four World cup is Pak,Nzl ,SL and Ind took Aus lightly

The thing about the Aussies is understanding the importance of the BIG match that matters. They are willing to crawl and limp upto getting to the Semi finals, thereafter they concentrate on lifting the trophy 🏆 no matter what. They do that by doing the basics right and by setting great fields and doing spectacular fielding. Their batting and bowling may not be spectacular, but they will not choke on the big day. India chocked on the big day without doubt. Gill, Shreyas, KL, Jadeja, Sky they all chocked and failed on the big day.

Your observation is perfectly correct that the venue of the wcc is not upto the mark ,as it is the new stadium. Instead it should played at Mumbai or Chennai ,the venue was selected keeping in mind the politics of Mr Modi and his party ,It should be controlled by them and not by Mr Jay Shah and compaby

Probably needed more clarity from batters, 240 you can’t defend on this wicket. This team had all the ingredients to win this Title. Well played .

India's template was too predictable and its undoing. Australia worked it out and dismantled it.They targetted the young guns Gill and Iyer and took them out. Then they dried out all boundaries for next 20 overs by bowling and fielding. India should have attacked Zampa, Marsh, Head. And dew and therefore toss was a big factor. Batting under light was easier. But well done Australia for brilliant victory!

Kamran Bhai you said in one of your show at start of the World Cup that other teams make a plan than pick players for it, Pakistan pick players and than make plans according to them. Australia's campaign is a perfect example to your statement. Carrying injured Travis Head in the team because they knew the role he must play, infact I suspect they preampted his recovery too, then carrying along Maxwell in the team with a specific role in bowling and a role fixed for batting in which he failed more often but when performed played the greatest innings of ODI cricket, than tagging along Marnus too when he looked misfit but Aussies has exact idea of the role he could play. So they may not be perfect, and didn't played flawless campaign but they seldom doubt themselves, they back themselves to get back up from adversity, back their strengths and have top quality management team to strategise and execute.
