From New Zealand: Traditionally, haka was a customary way to welcome visiting tribes, but it also served to invigorate warriors as they headed into battle. It was a show of physical prowess but also an embodiment of cultural pride, strength, and unity. Not a 'challenge' as the dimwitted commentator said.

@zaynes50942 жыл бұрын
@Annabel Ianna No. If you can find a club or local rugby league near you you can definitely tryout and/or make a team. The earlier the better for ladies. The first thing they’ll do is make sure you know how to wrap someone up and tackle them. Most say get to their legs and wrap them up, but sometimes it’s easier said than done when they’re streaming down the sidelines going 15-20 mph. Find what you like on the team, in the game, what position you’re best at, and learn as much as you can about that position.

@@annabelianna735 No problemo. One other thing I forgot to mention, it is a very tough sport and injuries can happen, but the best ways to avoid serious injuries is surprisingly knowing when to go down and shovel it to a teammate behind you. That also comes with practice. As they say, practice makes perfect. I’d recommend always having a mouthguard on you when playing. Passing was the easiest for me to learn, but it can be difficult when In game and in real situations, so that’s why the coaches will bore you with making you do “silly” drills and training techniques. It all means something.

11:02 to 11:12 that's not the try from Australia. Referee made the mistake. There should be review system because this is the biggest sporting event stage in the world with no review system omg this cost new Zealand women team Olympics gold title. Such a little and small mistake by the referee make a big impact in the game
@archivesport75174 жыл бұрын
Kunal Nagarkoti, you may be referring to television match officials, or TMOs. TMOs may be appointed to assist the referee in determining whether points have been scored or foul play has been committed. A television match official can only rule on exactly what the referee asks them however can direct the referees attention to foul play by speaking to him, or her, through his, or her earpiece. TMOs are commonly used in first class and international televised games, such as World Rugby-sanctioned matches. That includes the Olympics as well, if OBS (and the Japan Consortium, host broadcaster for Tokyo 2020) used the TMO system on purpose, likely for the first time.

@@theric66 Aus was well prepared and knew in order to win they had to be tough and fast at their handoffs and exhanges. Also had to be tough on defense in the first half so to keep it close for the second half. I like to think team USA has a chance in the upcoming Olympics, but if we’re put up against GB of Ozzie’s in the QFs again we will never sniff a medal round again.

Empujó la pelota hacia adelante, eso es INFRACCION. Además con mala intencion para obstruir el juego del equipo contrario. Y para peor en la zona cercana al TRY.

As Turtle Bay Diving said: Card was for a ‘deliberate knock on’ - effectively if you reach out to intercept a ball and you knock it on in what looks like an intentional fashion (knock it down rather than up and with one hand) then it’s deemed a yellow card offence.

Ref missed quite a few things most of it benefitting Australia. First half - @3:41 missed knock on by OZ - First OZ try lost control of the ball, should’ve been no-try - @1:25 kick-off, OZ player in front of the kicker, no advantage to NZ - @1:13 OZ player initially OK competing for the ball at ruck but goes off her feet and plays the ball back while on the ground - should’ve been penalty NZ. - @0:48 no idea where the knock on is 2nd half - @8:35 OZ player on wrong side of ruck, plays at ball. - @8:30 knock on by OZ - should've been scrum NZ - @7:43 knock on by OZ, ref calls it knock back.

@bFORCe2003 Most of that stuff is on-the-fly stuff you'd only see if you stopped the game as a ref every 5 seconds which they won't do because it's a 50 minute match and the refs just want to get on with it.
