I’ve been cheering on Smudge, and hoping he’d kickass in his new position, but even I was cheering when Joseph got Smith out first ball of his career. We get plenty of opportunities to see Smith bat. But how often do we get to see players take a wicket with their first ball? (Probably three or four times in a lifetime) Boland, Jamal, Neser and now S.Joseph, so many players have had amazing debuts in Australia the last few years

WI batsmen should have attacked more front up I hope they would do so at least in the 2nd innings. You have to be super confident even if you're not against Australians that's how tests have been won in Australia in the past!

That's not how it works 💀. It depends on the conditions. There's a fair bit of variable bounce and thus inconsistent carry. And there's a fair bit of movement. A couple of the Windies wickets were given away for sure but most of them couldn't have done much. The tactic was right. Have the openers survive the first hour while the conditions are overcast, and then play normally afterwards. It's not so easy in these conditions and against the best side itw (and remember, every one of their pacers is in form rn lol)
