Australian by Degree is a video profile series that captures the inspirational stories of Australia’s global alumni who are achieving great success in their home countries. These short programs demonstrate how a world-class education from Australia has helped emerging leaders from around the globe to bring new knowledge and innovation to their fields of expertise.

Pom Pom Wang
Pom Pom Wang is a drama producer and current director of the Performing Arts Center of Beijing Tianqiao Zenith Investment Group.
She completed a Masters Degree in Arts Management at the University of South Australia.
In 2006, she went to Europe, sponsored by European Union, to study the influence of culture and art in the process of European Integration. During her staying in Europe and through the study of European culture and artistic innovation, she also became aware of the charm of her home culture.
In 2007, she went back China and joined Poly Culture Group engaged in performing arts management and operations. During this period, she was able to work and present many excellent live shows to the Chinese market and meanwhile she started her own drama productions.
She has been involved with several culturally relevant musical and drama productions and intends on producing more in the future.
Pom Pom credits her time in Australia for making her life more beautiful. She says the reason is whilst there, she had lots of opportunities - to work with artists and arts project managers; to work in an arts organisation. All the real practice, which complimented her course, gave her a lot of help and made her “dreams come true”.
