do the shell packs come with triggers already installed or is it just the shells?

Hey man, I just want to say, thank you! I’ve been watching your videos for a year I think, and you convinced me. After months of reflexion, I bought a drum set, I’m converting it to electronic. Thanks for all the informations you gave me!

Dude!! Full circle event! - I wanted to upgrade my electronic kit. - Watched a ton of your videos to workout what would suit me. - Stumbled across The E-drum Shop. - Bought a custom kit from him, added a TD-17 module. - Now absolutely love playing electronic drums!! 🙌🏼🙏🏻

Wow didn't expect to see these on here. I brought one of his snares a while ago to replace the small default one on my previous Alesis nitro kit. It was really well made. Good to see he's got a Shopify store set up now, ebay was pretty hard to navigate to see everything on offer.

Hi Justin Thanks for show casing Graeme's small aussie company (ebay & Gumtree) that is the best way of affordable edrums for us in Australia. I have purchased a hi-hat controller, 15" Lemon ride and a 13" E-snare 4 years ago from Graeme. The original 3 ply head is still good and the thinner 2 ply is allways there as a back up. Please note that the reso side of the double headed snare has'nt got a bearing edge but it's not a problem. The original piezo wires were thinner than it is now and that centre mounted piezo failed. So I now my 13" snare has a 35mm piezo & cone (side mounted) & a 27mm piezo & cone (the least sensitive piezo thats centre mounted) from Quartz Percussion (Canada) and one Extreme Trigger (side mounted). One snare with 3 dual zone outputs that plug into my 2Box Drumit 5 mk1 & a Roland TD11. The TD11 has the least sensitive centre trigger with a higher threshold. My kick goes into a guitar ABY pedal (leem pro AB-200) then into both the 2Box & TD11 for a great layered kick & snare sound. These Edrums from Graeme are great and affordable with a good 3 ply head which is easy for DIY's to add extra triggers.

I miss your DIY trigger videos. but I spose I could go back and watch them. ... well, I am into this now.

Looks like a good affordable option. Very similar to Jobeky UK, using cheap generic Chinese shells, wrapping them, and adding simple but effective triggers.

Dude! As an Aussie subscriber I was NOT expecting to see a shoutout to Graeme from Gumtree! As you pointed out, in Oz we're pretty remote and dont have lot of options, so thanks from down under.

Hey man, how is that 3 ply mesh head holding up? And how would you compare it to the other bigger name 3ply mesh heads.

I appreciate you covering the smaller players (manufacturers) as well. BTW, are you triggering the TD50 or VSTs in this video?

Thanks Justin! You’ve helped so much for me trying to find a good e kit. Just a quick question what kit would you recommend for less than 1,300? I’m thinking of either getting the simmons titan 70 or the roland td07kv but if you know a better one in the price range please tell me.

When the Alesis DM 10 came out I purchased one for 800. It was on sale. Still works. I also have the older DM Pro module. I think I paid 250 for it. When I see the prices of this stuff today I can't help but to wonder what the quarterly sales reports look like.

I just sold my dm 10 for $450, worked perfectly! Upgraded to a td17 kvx and I’m not ever looking back. Recording Professional drums are no longer a problem

The rubber rim looks 1:1 like the Lemon T-950 rims. I wonder if they order some Alibaba parts for those drums. Looks like a Laurin/Alibaba mix with some custom shells.
@65Drums7 ай бұрын
I’ve reviewed Laurin and Lemon drums, this guys trigger setup is different from those. Rubber Rim and mesh head are probably from China of course, could be Lemon, I hadn't thought of that.
@jimbo1217 ай бұрын
@@65Drums Definitely a much better wiring job than the Laurins. I used a Laurin for a month until I decided to buy higher end drums.
@ArgonautDrums7 ай бұрын
Wouldn't you lose positional sensing if you move the piezo from the center to the side?
@65Drums7 ай бұрын
This snare is not capable of positional sensing in the first place, so you’re not losing anything
@ArgonautDrums7 ай бұрын
@@65Drums ah ok, I thought you just needed a rim piezo and a center piezo for positional sensing to work, and the module did the rest. Does it need to be wired a certain way?
@65Drums7 ай бұрын
@@ArgonautDrums yeah it’s more complicated than that, the rim piezo has to be underneath the head zone piezo. And There may be other intricacies I don’t know about.
