3 Australis Broodlifts in one video ? Sounds crazy but here we go. I've made 3 experimental boxes which are more of a tower type of design which may be beneficial for colony ventilation. Only time will tell.

@ 7:58 you disconnect them because of the new queen which makes sense. So from this point forward they don’t get anymore support from the mother colony at all and the only bees to sustain the new hive are those inside the box, hatching brood, and those returning from foraging? I noticed in Nicks video he said about 300 bees will sustain a micro colony, is that the approx number you also use? Thank you for the vid 👍

No more intervention from me, hopefully 😄. I'd say you could get away with 200 bees with Australis but I'd be putting more new brood in to boost numbers in about 50 days time. Whatever bees are in the box when I disconnect them is what it's got. I could always swap positions with the motherhive if numbers got too low. 👍
