I love where I live and feel the Okanagan Valley is the best place. Mountains, lakes, orchards and wineries in abundance. Only downside is BC is expensive.

If you want natural splendour then Thunder Bay can be worthwhile. I only go back to visit all my family. That being said, I left 33 years ago. Vancouver island is home and the best place to live!!

Agreed. Thunder Bay wins the prize for natural beauty in Ontario. Haven't been back for about 25 years, but it has so much to offer. The drive along the north shore on hwy.17 between Sault Ste. Marie and T.B. is the best scenery in Ontario. Breathtaking. (BTW. Kakabeka Falls may be MUCH smaller than Niagara but I think it's prettier).

Lots of Toronto (Scarberia) people wanting to live in places they’ve never experienced and dissing on places they’ve never been to. I agree with the one who said that there are good things about just about everywhere. A born urbanite might hate living in rural Alberta and someone from rural Newfoundland might find Toronto unbearable. At least the Torontonians left Hamilton alone for a (rare) change.

Lucky enough to have visited or lived in many places in Canada ("army brat"). In an ideal world it would be seasonal living. Newfoundland in the summer, or Montreal, in the winter would be Prince Edward County or Ottawa in Eastern Ontario. Worst, and sorry to say Vancouver, where I lived for many years, and Cornwall Ontario.

Best - The West coast. But I grew up there so am unabashedly biased. Worst - Tie between Alberta and Quebec. They are the whiny capitals of Canada. Harper = previous PM

Alberta is a wonderful place to live. I live two hours south of Calgary. We have sunshine most of the winter and not as much snow as people think. Also, we get chinooks that warm us up in the winter. Somethimes we have double digit temperatures for a week or more several times in the winter.

I live in the Kootenays in BC but was born and raised in Nova Scotia. At 16 i hitchhiked to Ottawa and lived there for a while, then i practically lived on the highway as a hitchhiker until i met my wife at 21 years old (I'm 40 now). The worst part for me about living in BC compared to growing up in Nova Scotia is how expensive BC is and having to worry about Grizzlies and Cougars when out in the bush.

Amongst other places, I've lived in a pair of sister cities at opposite ends of the country. St. Andrews New Brunswick, and White Rock, Metro Vancouver BC. I grew up on the St.Lawrence River in Ontario, and I've also lived in Toronto and Edmonton. I mapped a lot of the northern half of Alberta, back before GPS. I've criss-crossed this continent by train, plane, automobile, motorcycle and hitchhiking.

I'm originally from the Island, but have been living in the Cariboo for over two decades now and don't see myself ever moving back to the Island. Don't miss the dreary, wet, dismal days, nor the wet heavy snow (when it snows). The last place I'd want to live is anywhere in the Lower Mainland. Been there, done that, never again.

I was fortunate to live East to West , North and South, (CAF) I would live anywhere in Canada. It's a gorgeous country, our home and native land. With our varied history from our Indigenous people to recent Canadians, “home is where the heart is,” . The question may be particularly challenging as Canada is a vast country with beautiful vistas. and people. I was fortunate and loved every place I have ever experienced. This was but a small drop in our beautiful land we call Canada., which means village or settlement. We have a community spririt no matter where we live. Sorry I could go on and on, it's just part of our DNA. We are also simiilar, we (Australia and Canada) are both federal states (ie: Provinces and Territories and have constitutional monarchies)...... OK, sorry again....Going on and on. I will end this here. Love both of our Countries.

I'd love to live in the interior of BC, the mountains are spectacular. The last place I'd want to live in Canada is a place called Paddockwood, Sask. it's where my dad was born, it's in the middle of nowhere with no real amenities, or on a first nations reserve although I don't think I would be allowed to live there anyways because I'm not indigenous. I get cheap smokes from the first nations reserves and it's poverty ville. It's kind of sad actually that people have to live in the conditions they live in. I'm white with a very tiny bit of indigenous blood but the way our gov't historically has treated the indigenous is horrific at best. It's one of the few things I can say bad about Canada.

G'Day Tash ! Well i been watching your video's for a long time now to know you somewhat. If you were coming to visit Or stay I would say for you ..West coast Say outside of Vancouver as it is very expensive to live And the crime/homeless/Druggies is not worth the cost. Nanaimo would be the city for you ..Your on a island You have everything you need as you do in Brisbane The weather might throw you off As your going to be in rainy more than the heat you get in Oz However the flipside is This area does not get extreme winter like most of the country Spring is early Winter is late And you can travel over to the mountains See the vastness with in a few hours. How many can say They played in the snow Swam in the ocean And camped on a mountain side...All in one day?... My second choice for you would be Quebec city with its European charm, Real French Canadian cuisine (no not poutine!) And keep in mind each major city west And east is about 1 gas tank away (5-6 hours) Montreal - Ottawa - Toronto - Sudbury Or Eastwards too But come to these places in June to October Summer is hot + Lots to do - Fall is cooler And you will love the changing of tree colors on long drives The guy you mentioned was selling goods (house nic naks -Odds and ends) And he said living in northern Quebec with the "Metis" - The first settlers that mixed the the natives And is now its own culture - I am one of them lol

Winnipeg has a very high crime rate to be fair and is extremely cold in the winter. The river floods in the spring, it’s probably a lovely place to visit, just not to live. I think Montreal would be the best place to live if you like the city. Cavendish PEI is lovely I just don’t think I could handle the winters. I have to agree with not wanting to live in Alberta. That’s my picks for best/worst.

They're only asking people in Ontario ... so yeah they don't know much about anywhere else in Canada and are in many cases biased against western Canada. Maybe choose a nonbiased source to at least get representative answers from across Canada. Having lived in both eastern and western Canada and travelled to every province and major city not all that was said is wrong ... but mostly still biased.

Most people on the planet never travel more than a few miles they were born from and most people don't move very far either. Canada is way bigger than Australia and it would take 5 to 7 days, driving 24 hrs a day to get from NFLND to BC and the only thing you would see, is the side or the highways and the gas/petrol stations you stopped at. If you stopped at restaurants to eat and relax an hour or two, it would take from 7 to 10 days, again driving 24 hours a day and stopping for fuel and at some restaurants. As far as $3 coffees, speaking for myself, I get an XL 2 cream 3 sugars at Timmy's for $2.85 tax included
