Yeah... "canadian bacon" is what we call small (3-4 inch) round slices of hamsteak in the USA lol. Usually seasoned with a touch of brown sugar and loads of butter. Its then pan seared, and then put on a breakfast sandwich with an english muffin, egg and cheese, or paired with pancakes or french toast.

I find it funny how americans think we aren't allowed to have guns, I've been asked if it was even possible to own a firearm in Canada by an American online and I just said "no we can own guns we are just more responsible with them so you dont hear about shootings everyday." Then he argued that the Claw hammer is the number one murder weapon in the US and gave me shit for being anti gun. Even though I own one. Sometimes, yall make me go bruh

My mom and grandma took my brother and I to Florida years ago. We went to a McDonald's for supper. They had the self serve drinks. I don't recall any of those in Canada at the time, but my mom was ordering and at the end she said "and two small pops." The guy was so confused. My mom said "you know pop...Soda pop." He finally clued in. He said he'd never heard that before. Just goes to show how Americans know absolutely nothing about us. I knew back then that Americans referred to it as "soda" and I was probably around 10 years old.

I've been to every province and territory with the exception of Nunavut, Northwest Territories and Nova Scotia (aside from a layover in NS for 4hrs so i'm not counting that as a trip) and have actually heard people say "aboot" due to their accent in certain places. Specifically in the Yukon; they 100% say "aboot." I've heard that certain parts of the maritimes have people saying it there, too due to their accents. I caught a few "aboot"s out in Newfoundland when i was there as well.

As a proud bilingual Canadian, I thank you for this video. It is very truthful, and I bet many people learned lots about us today. FYI, I am not from New Brunswick or Quebec; I am from Ontario and live in a very bilingual area in North-Eastern Ontario! Surprising, eh?!

Actually, the majority of Canada’s populated areas often receive summer temperatures (21C+) between mid-May and mid-September... Or four months. Even while I lived in Yellowknife, located in the high north, summers were hot and dry. From mid-June through mid-August, the daily high temperature regularly topped 25C. Unfortunately, October through April features a daily average temperature around -40C. At least the summers are great...

Restless Changes to Positivity You misunderstood what I said. You are North Americans generally, but you are Canadians specifically. It’s like calling the people who live in Europe European when you want to reference that entire area of people, but they are specifically more than that. There’s many kinds of people who live in those areas. English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Irish, Scottish, Swedish, etc.. What if you want to use a word that references them all in a conversation? You use the general landmass that they live on, which is Europe, hence the word “European”. The same principle applies to Canadians and every single group of people out there.

The Charro sombrero is only worn by a Charro (duh) while performing. 5.-We don't celebrate 5 de Mayo, we go to school or work that day, our revolution was held on a November 20th. In more rural areas, general policing is done by the RCMP. Over here in BC, the really big cities tend to be the ones with a municipal police force, like Vancouver with its VPD. Areas with a lower population density just have the RCMP, who indeed, are dressed in blue/black. The red surge is used for ceremonial stuff only, like Remembrance Day.

Canadian here and there are a few things are missing that I think Americans should know. - Canada has an Army. We fought and beat Germany's best Armies in two world wars. And in World War II we took Juno beach. - John Cantius Garand was Canadian. Like James Naismith, John Garand was a in the U.S. when he made his accomplishment it was not basketball but the M1 Garand rifle that was used by the U.S. Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. - Canada has some of the beast snipers. Rob Furlong's shot (3rd farthest shot) and killed a Taliban fighter at 2,430 m (2,657 yd) and a JTF 2 sniper (farthest shot) killed an ISIS fighter in Iraq at 3,540 m (3,871 yd). - Canada has black people. From 1840 to 1865 over 30,000 American slaves used The Underground Railroad to come to Canada were they could be free and even vote. Today there descents and African immigrants make up 3% of Canada's population. (Hollywood actor Stephan James is from Scarborough, Toronto) We have a black woman on our $10 bill! - Canadian civilians own guns. Canadian civilians have 12,708,000 rifles, shotguns and handguns and 36,626,000 civilians that's enough to arm 34.7% of the civilian population. That makes Canada 7th in the world. - Canada is the second largest country in the world. With an area total of 9,984,670 km we only loose to Russia at 17,098,246 km.

I’ve lived in BC all my life. It’s relatively warm here and we usually get rain instead of snow. I lived in Saskatchewan for a year in third grade (which is known to be cold) and I developed a “gang” of kids who all huddled under the playground at recess in the warmer months because it was so hot you would feel sick if you were outside for too long. It is NOT always cold here

#10 is accurate #9 just made me laugh I think Toronto is just more known, like Montreal as a city #8 yah I totally want you to know that it's super important #7 is so true omfg only Americans call it ''Canadian Bacon'' we've never said that #6 true #5 Canada is mainly English, but certain provinces (a province is like a state) speak French as well, such as Quebec - and in some cases you can't get certain jobs unless you speak both languages. #4 I agree #3 OMG FINALLY LOL our cops do not ride horses we have the same cops as Americans #2 I love this video for explaining this .. our healthcare SO isn't free and tbh it's a good thing if we know everyone should get healthcare no matter what, not just if you're rich - our milk comes in bags because it's better for the environment but we do also have carton milk available - #1 LOLOL no one talks like that, only sometimes in the maritimes Also, the whole polite thing.. just because we have manners doesn't mean we're all puppies and kittens.

Sarah S As for #7, Canadian Bacon is not ham. Ham is cured pork from the hind leg of the pig. Canadian Bacon is cured pork from the loin, a different cut of meat. That's why they call it Back Bacon.

The R.C.M.P. is the main police force for large portions of Canada. They are not used exclusively for federal issues. Ontario has its own provincial police force and several of the larger cities have set up their own police force, as well but most of Canada is policed by the R.C.M.P.
