Watching this is exciting!! It brings living in my own place possible in the future as a single mother. So many people in Australia are completely priced out of the housing market. Do you have another link for your Facebook page, this one doesn't seem to be working. And can I ask what expo's you will be at next in 2017 to be able to come and have a look?

My Hubby & I are in the process of building one all ourselves ...Haven’t finished the video yet so not yet sure if he’s gonna mention it but wanted to quickly reply to you so you don’t get caught off guard... Now, 4.5Ton is the legal weight limit in Australia, but that also includes the weight of your water tanks being full, all your belongings inside & so on, it must NOT ever exceed that 4.5 Ton weight limit including full water reserves & everything you want on board (that’s while travelling, when stationary it can weigh as much as you want, that strict & light weight limit which adds up much faster than you’d expect is the reason why you often see old caravans being towed but the cars towing them have heaps of stuff loaded on the cars roof ect, it’s to keep the weight out of the caravan cause order caravans used much heavier materials to build)... BUT, forget the fact that your legal weight limit is 4.5 Ton, it’s actually more like 3 to 3.5 Ton at Max unless you have like $90,000 to spend on a towing vehicle... Reason being, in order for it to be legal it must also fit the specs of your tow vehicle too & in Australia, pretty much the maximum towing capacity you can find on a 4WD here is 3 to 3.5 Tonne... There are a very few other specific 4WD’s here that do have a higher towing capacity than that but they’re extremely hard to find, are usually imported from overseas & will set you back around $90,000 2nd hand IF you’re lucky enough to find one... So the fact our legal weight limits for Tiny Homes/Caravans is 4.5 Tonne actually sadly means nothing because we still can’t legally tow it unless our tow vehicle has a matching, or higher, towing capacity, which like I said, is damn near impossible to get in this country unless you got money to burn, which 98% of us don’t, so in that case, you’d need to keep the total weight of the home & everything in it (including filled water reserves ect) no heavier than 3 to 3.5 Tonne depending on the vehicle & even less if your tow vehicle had a lower towing capacity than that... Our country is so hard on us with their damn near impossible to meet limits on things, fact of the matter is, I’m almost certain they do it simply to try to make it so we’d not be able to live in Tiny Homes full time ...Living in a Tiny Home also means freedom from financial slavery, you don’t have to pay rent or mortgages unless you want to, you can hook up solar power & guttering so you never have to pay for water or electricity, less financial tie downs means we’d be able to work much less & actually enjoy our lives some, but that doesn’t make anyone in power rich, they want us to work ourselves to death & be tied down so we’re bringing in mega tax dollars, paying rates & so on... I’m convinced they don’t want many people to do this so they make it as difficult as possible in the hopes people won’t bother or wouldn’t be able to live onboard full time... Wether I’m right or wrong about that, the fact still remains, that Tiny Homes in this country aren’t that 4.5 Tonne weight limit we think if your tow vehicles towing capacity is less than that & unfortunately, like I said, most of the highest towing capacity vehicles here are only 3 to 3.5 Tonne so that’d actually be what your weight limit would legally be... It’s still definitely worth doing though, just do your research & choose wisely what you build it out of, pick strong but light materials, store heavy things like jerry cans, spare tyres, tool boxes ect in your tow vehicle instead of the home & whenever you can swap one item for something that’s a even just few grams lighter, do it, it definitely adds up!! Just wanted you & anyone else to know that straight up before you start building beautiful so you can get it right the first time without that hidden, face slapping surprise half way through ☺️💜

_they are also excellent for command posts, since a leader can direct their troops locally, based on the location of the enemy, from direct sight, and the ability to easily shout directions to be heard by defenders.. or even use a 📢 loudspeaker to be heard even better_

0:28 _the roof can also have an "X" pattern, for extra flexibility and wind proof endurance.. and all the ties and latches can be mobile, so they can be readjusted at the needed height.._ *at night time, these towers become extremely camouflaged, very hard to spot, very safe for scouting, especially since torches allow the scouts to see very far away, than they normally would, allowing for the enemy to be spotted immediately, very easily..* _they prove their usefulness against night sieges, when the swarm is most dangerous, since they have the cover of night.. well,_ *Not Anymore*

I guess that just shows how popular he is and is a reflection of the quality of his work. There are other businesses out there for those that can't wait, but it is still important to Do your own Due Diligence - there are dodgy operators out there as well as ethical, professional ones.

I probably don't fully understand towing capacity etc, but 4.5 tonnes seems like a lot, what would you use to tow it?

If you keep the house and trailer under 3500kg you can tow it with a serious 4WD (Ford Ranger, Range Rover V8, Landrover Discovery etc). If it goes between 3500kg and 4500kg then you need wither a Tow Truck or a BIG Truck like a Dodge RAM, Chevy Silverado, Ford F250 or above etc.

I said the same thing ,lol, i have been following Tiny Homes for a few years especially the channel ''Living Big in a Tiny House'' with the kiwi bloke Bryce who is a wonderful interviewer, Why they don't have a Tiny Home community in Australia has me baffled.....well not that i know of anyway.!! if i had the money i would invest in buying land and building a few, i think it would be fantastic .I for sure want one, downstairs bedroom though.
