Wonderful video. 👌 Really enjoyed all your filming locations as well as the extra details you provided about the trains and routes.

Good on you for the narration. I wish more Australian rail youtubers would do it.

@@MS_Trains Hey Mr train guy. I just wanted to say speaking as a cameraman you are really quite good at operating. Great sense of timing lovely smooth moves holding the corners of the frame spot on exposure, sharp, finding the right angle, great composition, focus, really great work mate. I hope you are making money out of these skills man you really are good, better than a lot I meet. B+

Loving the video. Any footage of a train running on the middle rail at 7:00. Might be a bumpy ride :)

Thanks, mate! Glad you enjoyed it. Since I filmed this, they've redone that centre track to smooth it out and increase the speed. The middle track is used for up Broad Gauge trains towards Melbourne (Heading in the other direction to the one in the shot). I'll check the artifices; I might have something. Thanks again, mate! Living more than 10,000 miles away, I appreciate the maps that help me know where everything is.

What's the logic of a helper at the back (sheer weight of the consist)? Seems prevalent in the USA . . .

Normally reduction of draw-gear draft forces, I believe, for longer trains. Matt - M&S Trains

whereabouts in perth are the aurizon intermodals going to? kewdale seems to always have a pn train in it.

I believe Aurizon has a terminal at Forrestfield near SCT. I would guest there but haven't actually heard anything from a reliable source. Matt - M&S Trains

@@MS_Trains they all used to use kewdale because it was the only one over here. but changes in use meant that sct could use forrestfield. i think youve been over here. forrestfield is huge. a few years ago the government planned to open a huge depot in hammond park. that seems to have changed with how railways are run now which freed up forrestfield. there was also more recent plans to put a depot at wattle grove, not far from kewdale, and is central. some tracks have been cut in for a maintenance depot. hammond park is bloody miles away down south and needed new rail lines.. aurizon is cashed up. they are probably interested in wattle grove in the long run.

@@vsvnrg3263 Interesting. Years ago, Aurizon had plans for a new Intermodal Terminal at Dry Creek South in SA aswell (The old B/G Yard), but it was blocked at the time by GWA. As you know, they're now the same company, so could be interesting to see if that happens. Aurizon seem to be in heavy investment mode for the time being so could possibly be a big list of new things to come. Matt - M&S Trains
