Radio Birdman, legendary outsiders of Australian rock and roll and ARIA Hall of Famers, celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2024 with shows in June and July
In a time when absolutely everything is deemed iconic, Radio Birdman remain the real deal. They rewrote the rules of the Australian music industry by sheer force of will and carved out their own path which many others have since followed. Their logo, still mysterious even after half a century, is now emblazoned on the bodies of a global legion of fans, their cars, surfboards and much more. These final performances in June and July will underscore why.
And with the start of their BIRDMAN 5-0 50th Anniversary tour only a couple of weeks away, iconic ARIA Hall of Famers and legendary outsiders of Australian rock'n'roll RADIO BIRDMAN are also the subject of a new biography entitled RADIO BIRDMAN: RETALIATE FIRST, authored by esteemed Sydney rock writer Murray Engleheart

I heard them via record first in 1982ish. Incredible. Then saw them live last 3 tours. How do these old folks do it. Still incredible. Thought recently they can’t possibly still do it. But yes still incredible. And Denis is seriously impressive.

The band has a disjointed history , but they made some great music and I have personally witnessed some great shows and some not so good ones , every band that makes great music has a great drummer and for me if Ron keely is in the band it fits like a glove , he’s the best at that style
